Did they wear division patches and rank insignia on great coats during the Battle of the Bulge?

I have had a look in my books and a bit online and it seems not generally. Possibly rank insignia and ?? Divisional patches?
As in 'Band of Brothers'

The Airborne units were unique in that they had plenty of down time between actions in the early years too have insignias sewed onto all sorts of clothing. Even footlockers and equipment was marked too.
Replacements sent to the front had less time to mark clothes and gear. This was especially true for replacements of infantry and armor units.

A number of photos show sides of helmets marked with unit syembols.

In the old film "Battleground", the troopers are constantly having to rip off and then sew back on their Divisional insignia. Opsec.
