Today on the BBC website is a short article about finding the Harder off the northern coast of Luzon in the Philippines after she was sunk on 29 Aug 1944. |

Both links to like articles with more photos are superior to the BBC one I saw – which has already been taken off for more important political crap. I went back to see I had it wrong or did the BBC about the date of her loss – either the 24th or 29th 1944. Sorry if it was my misreading but it appears to be the 24th from naval records. The ‘52 Lost' project with the mission to find all 52 missing and lost US subs during WW2 occurs to me to be a VERY striking and noble effort. |
