Say, TMP Brain Trust, what do you make of this story?

At least three U.S. citizens – accused of being CIA agents – are arrested in Congo after failed coup: Three people killed in shootout at presidential palace and home of close ally

Three Americans have been arrested over their alleged involvement in a failed coup in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).

Video shows what is thought to be two of the men groveling for mercy on the ground as they were surrounded by government forces following a shootout in the capital Kinshasa on Sunday.

Reports in local media suggested the arrested men were CIA operatives although the US ambassador in the city was keen to distance the US from any involvement.

Was the CIA trying to install an anti-Chinese faction in charge of Congo to secure access to cobalt and lithium minerals? Is the CIA's best team focused on domestic US politics/2024 election and Ukraine, leaving the rest of the world with their JV teams?

A botched attempt to recoup from Niger?

It might also just be politically expedient to say that they are CIA operatives.

Dressed the same in black outfits…

Sounds like Christian Malanga watched The Dogs of War one too many times and convinced a bunch of halfwits this was a good idea?

LOL…do you think the Biden administration would allow this? Not.

🤔 Well the Afghanistan debacle, the Niger debacle, the war in the Ukraine, the wars in Israel and Gaza, the uncontrolled invasion on both ends of our borders, the attacks on shipping and the firing on our bases in the Middle East.

I could see this as another blunder. Probably isn't, but yes, I could see it based on the above.

If you cannot blame Nazis or Colonialists, the CIA seems to be the next option.

LOL, sure, conspiracy -- according to the New York Times the CIA:

1. Was instrumental in toppling the pro-Russian regime in Ukraine via the "color revolution"

2. Rebuilt and basically manages Ukraine's intel services

3. Built 10+ secret listening posts and intel bases in Ukraine

4. Trained and funded Ukrainian BlackOps against Russia for years prior to the war

5. Helped Ukraine assassinate Separatist leaders in Eastern Ukraine.

6. Lied to and bypassed Trump during his presidency to deepen operations in Ukraine

7. Since Biden took office, the article describes how the CIA had "taken of the handcuffs" against lethal action against Russian intel agents. So we have CIA agents killing Russian agents…yeah, that's gonna show we want peace, eh?

Here's the article: link

Sounds about right … based on all we know … Or don't …

The only evidence that we have for the CIA being involved is that it failed.
