Hmmm ? Mossad would be my first suspect … We have to remember; Iran had hands in 07 Oct, the Houthis firing at ships, Shia militias in Iraq, etc. I don't think many in West will shed any tears … |

"forced to make a hard landing due to the bad weather and fog" Like any good intelligence organization, Mossad makes sure that it can plausibly deny involvement. |

"Why President Raisi's death has sparked off fireworks, celebrations in Iran People in Iran are celebrating the death of Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi with fireworks, memes and jokes. But why this outburst of joy and celebration over the death of a national leader? And is the celebration just about Raisi's death or is it indicative of a fightback by Iranians long repressed by a theocratic state? It n Short The helicopter crash of Ebrahim Raisi triggered celebrations across the Shia nation Known to be close to Supreme Leader Khamenei, Raisi, was in line to succeed him Strict Islamic laws had triggered protests against the theocratic regime in 2022 "I think this is the only crash in history where everyone is worried if someone survived," Iranian-American journalist Masih Alinejad wrote on X, after reports of that a helicopter carrying President Ebrahim Raisi crashed. "Happy World Helicopter Day!" the Iranian activist wrote.
While hundreds gathered in the main squares of Tehran and Mashhad to pray for the safety of President Ebrahim Raisi following reports of the helicopter crash, scores of videos and reports emerged showing Iranians celebrating the news. Many Iranians and Iranian expatriates on social media were also seen joking and sharing memes of the crash." Most popular song currently on the Iranian charts: "Ding Dong the Witch is dead" |

🤮🤮🤮 "While Iranian allies were quick to send condolences, Western states have been more circumspect. Nevertheless, European Council President Charles Michel, a Belgian centrist-liberal, was quick to make an expression on behalf of the whole European Union, he said. Michel wrote on Monday morning: "The EU expresses its sincere condolences for the death of President Raisi and Foreign Minister Abdollahian, as well as other members of their delegation and crew in a helicopter accident. Our thoughts go to the families." The earliest expressions of sympathy for Iran came from its allies worldwide, with statements published by the Chinese and Russian Presidents, India, Pakistan, and even OPEC. The Hamas terror group and Yemen's Houthi militia, both militarily backed by Iran in their wars against the West, also sent "deepest condolences", reports the Jerusalem Post." |

From the reports this morning, this butcher has killed many of Iranians. Include shoot and even hanging children and woman. Many islamic fundamentals radicals look at females as second-class humans. So, this is no surprise. Report was in the past weeks he killed at two females. Any protesting again this theocratic regime will get you killed. Remember months back 2 women were killed[and probably raped] because the worn their hijab incorrectly. Reports are many Iranians are celebrating his death. Probably hope it was painful. He like many of his type is a mass murder and should have been charged with crimes against humanity, at least. But this religiously inspired psychopath is now dead. As humans we should be glad, he is gone. But too bad it didn't happen much, much sooner. However, based on the past, another "mad butcher" will replace him. Hopefully his demise will happen sooner than later also. Obama and his crew thought they could talk to Iran theocratic leaders. And make a deal about them getting their own nukes. As we know we don't want a religious fundamentalists theocracy to get WMDs. For obvious reasons. In the end these reprobates, etc. got a lot of $ from the Obama regime. As we see today the same is happening … They are getting $ from the US gov't and still working on getting deployable nukes. The US leadership in many cases underestimated the Iranian leaders. And they took advantage of the US Gov't's naivete and saw this all as a sign of weakness. Predators sense weakness in their enemies … In this region they only respect strength, and power. Reports are Iran's gov't is one of the most anti-American regimes in the world. While Iran's people are one of the most pro-American populations on the planet. So, this psycho's death is very well deserved … |

Even if Mossad is involved, they will never admit it. Based on the reliability of Iranian equipment, I would say that bad weather, and crap equipment sent these guys to their just desserts… I'm hoping that sooner or later (preferably sooner), the Iranian people will say "enough", and get rid of these religious old men that want to make their fellow people live an 8th century lifestyle. |
McKinstry | 20 May 2024 8:01 a.m. PST |
Another vote for old equipment, poor maintenance and bad weather. The Iranians already have a terrible economy and outside of the IRGC, a pretty restive population. The Supreme Leader is 85 and Raisi at 63 was a hopeful for line of succession although there is no shortage of hardline theocratic dropcases waiting in the wings. Elections have to occur in 50 days and Khameni will of course disqualify any semi " moderate ". State media will deny but a low turnout and, I expect, some rioting by what is a very young and very unhappy populace should follow. |

Yes he and his government are responsible for the deaths and wounding of US servicemen. Supplying the weapons used to fire on our bases and shipping. Responsible for Financing terrorism worldwide. The massacre in Israel and so much more! "He" is sending condolences? I say good riddance to bad rubbish! "The Biden administration on Monday sent "official condolences" to the Iranian regime following a weekend helicopter crash that claimed the lives of its hardline president and foreign minister. "The United States expresses its official condolences for the death of Iranian president Ebrahim Raisi, foreign minister [Hossein] Amir-Abdollahian, and other members of their delegation in a helicopter crash in northwest Iran," State Department spokesman Matthew Miller said in a statement. "As Iran selects a new president, we reaffirm our support for the Iranian people and their struggle for human rights and fundamental freedoms." Raisi, a longtime hardliner who was close to Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, was known for leading chants of "death to America" during public events in Iran. In February, during a rally in which onlookers burned American and Israeli flags, he slammed the U.S. for supporting "the Zionist regime's crimes against humanity in Gaza." "I say to the enemies; you want to hear the word of the people? These are the great people of Iran," Raisi was quoted as saying, as the crowd chanted "death to America" and "death to Israel." Raisi—who is known as "the Butcher of Tehran"—was one of the main architects of a 1988 massacre in Iran that killed around 5,000 regime opponents. Raisi at the time served on the hardline government's "death committee" that issued death sentences to scores of political opponents. Raisi was sanctioned by the U.S. government in 2019 for his role in committing mass human rights abuses "over three decades." A State Department spokesman, speaking only on background, said U.S. policy toward Iran remains unchanged in light of Raisi and Amir-Abdollahian's deaths. Khamenei remains Iran's leading political figure and is certain to continue directing the Islamic Republic's domestic and foreign policy as Raisi and Amir-Abdollahian are replaced. "Our approach remains unchanged. The United States will continue to support the people of Iran and defend their human rights," the official said. "We will continue to confront the Iranian regime's support for terrorism, proliferation of dangerous weapons, and advancement of its nuclear program in ways that have no credible civilian purpose." " |

Thanks 79thPA … That is an old bird. One report said, that Iran complained that with US sanctions, they couldn't get the parts they need to maintain the older aircraft. I don't know what sanctions those are. Does the US even have sanctions of any type on Iran ? I'd think with the billions the US leadership has given Iran in the past 3 years. They could get or fabricate the parts. Guess they need the $ to support Hamas torturing, raping, dismembering, dragging nude bodies thru the streets, butchering, etc., etc. Israelis. Well, I guess they have their own priorities. Maybe there was a little divine intervention, as of the 3 Iranian birds in the air. The one with the biggest butcher being carried in it crashed and killed everybody on board. Amen … "The United States expresses its official condolences for the death of Iranian president Ebrahim Raisi, foreign minister [Hossein] Amir-Abdollahian, and other members of their delegation in a helicopter crash Really ? Did the US send condolences to all the families of all the Iranian men, women and children Iran's leaders tortured, rape, killed, etc.? Well … Guess everybody has their own priorities … |

I think the condolences are a political ploy to say to Iran if they start to act reasonably the door is open to better relations. Surely a good thing? – As Abraham Lincoln responded to a lady's comment – "They are our enemies," she said. "They ought to be destroyed." "Madame," replied the President, "how can I better destroy my enemies than by making them my friends?" Or Sun Tzu: 'If you wait long enough by a river, the bodies of your enemies will float by…' |
