What They Didn't Tell You In The Article:

The robot dog can also put out the fires by lifting it's hind leg on them…

The robotic flamethrower is available for individual or commercial use, priced at $9,420. USD

I'm saving my pennies!

in California, Throwflame will ship flamethrowers with smaller nozzles in compliance with state regulations, reducing the operational range to less than 10 feet.

Bummer, dude! I'll have to get mailbox in Reno.

I saw this on the news too. I will neither confirm nor deny anything that has to do with this robo' dawg. Yes, we have some very imaginative people in Ohio ! Actually, this may be useful for clearing underbrush, etc. And an intruder too of course …

That robo' dawg frame seems to be very similar other robo' dawgs I have seen in the media. Some may have different weapons, etc. But IIRC the USAF Security Police is using some of them. To work out the bugs, etc.(?)

The NYC Cops were using them but had to stop as too many New Yorkers were complaining. I'm betting the criminals didn't like that the robo' dawgs could run them down. As they could not outrun this machine. Also, in that situation the flamethrower could be quite useful too …

Krispy Kritters is what I was told by my Army instructors when a VC/NVA got hit by a flame thrower. Most if not all of them were vehicle mounted too. "Burn baby burn!"

Reminds me of the mod kit you could buy in South Africa to stop annoying locals from car-jacking you.

They call traffic lights "robots" in south Africa.
It's whilst stopped at the robots you're most likely meet some interesting locals.

Could work for all the riots going on in the USA ! Just flame a nearby tree or two … they might get the idea ! Rioting is all fun & games until flame throwers show up !!!

Only a matter of time before a civilian sends a robo dog or a drone to murder someone.
