Here's some setup photos from Return to Moria, a War of the Rings game that was held at Little Wars last weekend.
An overview of the table. The board is around 4X9 feet.

Durin's Causeway (games were based on Balin's Expedition, so it was still intact then, as was the missing span that Boromir almost steps off in the movie!)

The underground river (figured there must have been one), the King's Bridge (made that one up, too), with the Bridge of Khazad-dûm in the background

Dwarves climbing the Great Stairs (well, one of the Great Stairs), as seen from the Mines

The First Hall (actually it's the 21st) with the Chamber of Marzabul in the background

The Iron Forge

Goblintown and the chambers leading down to it (a beer cellar, an armory and the Chamber of Three Passages)

Games ran all weekend at Little Wars. It was a lot of fun. Will send more photos from some of the games later in the week.

"It was even more impressive in person."

It was actually, pretty impressive. I took probably a dozen photos of it, and will have some of them up on my blog review that I will post the link here.
