Had a look round Salute for what was new in 28mm. Highlight was Offensive Miniatures and the new 28mm Russians. Some beautiful figures. Well proportioned, good poses and a very comprehensive range. Should be able to get anything you need for a platoon sized force plus support from HMG's, mortars and a lovely 45mm AT gun and crew.
Now I already have WW2 Russians, but seriously thinking about updating my force with these.
Also dropped by Empress Miniatures stand for some German winter Pak40 gunners. Another excellent range of well proportioned figures. These beauties are earmarked for a Rubicon Pak38/97.
If you are wondering about compatibility Offensive and Empress match well, as do the Perry figures. While matching in height they don't mix well with the heroic style figures from Artizan/Black Tree/Crusader/Warlord end of the market IMHO.
Warlord had Achtung Panzer Demos running on their stand. Stopped to watch a couple of turns. Looks an interesting game, but the entry level price at the show was a bit steep. To get the rules plus all the tokens and markers you needed you had to buy a starter pack with a couple of Warlord plastic tanks for £100.00 GBP! I understand a rules plus tokens bundle will be available direct from Warlord, but I don't know what price that will be. I will pass for now. The market for WW2 tank action sets is getting pretty crowded what with Warlord's own Tank War and the Lardies What a Tanker.

I think that the rules and tokens only bundle is about £60.00 GBP Still a bit steep.

Indeed! As the basic rulebook is £25.00 GBP that makes it £35.00 GBP for the cards and tokens. I see the £100.00 GBP starter set only includes the British and German cards. Although it has 5 tanks not 2 and includes a couple of ruined buildings. I will pass for now!

Saw Offensive Miniatures in one of the mags this month and was very impressed indeed by the sculpting and proportions. They look like a massive improvement on the traditional 28mm big heads/big hands/dumpy bodies and legs.
