"After my discussion of the Valor an Fortitude rulebook, I would now like to briefly introduce you to an (unhistorical) scenario that I played as part of the preparation. Scenario description The year is 1815, it is June 16th and the French army has crossed the border into Belgium. While the fighting was raging near Quatre-Bras and Ligny, Comte dD'Erlon, commander of the French 1st Corps, gave the order to his 1st and 2nd Divisions to occupy the small towns of Mellet and Villers Perwin and to defend them under all circumstances. As soon as his units got into position, thin red lines appeared from the hills on the horizon. They are strong forces of the Anglo-Allied Army, which include a British Line Division, a Hanoverian Division and the British Guards Division under the command of General Cooke. As the highest-ranking officer, Cooke assumed command of the force and handed command of the Guards Division to Major-General Maitland. Cooke wants to spare the Guards for larger tasks and initially keeps them in reserve. While the Hanoverians are supposed to hold the right flank, the British line division receives the order to attack on the left flank…"
