I have set all of the troops out on the tables at my home pitch so that I can give them an inspection and see if anything is missing. I have also set up some of the terrain that I will be using in the Pickett's Charge game at Little Wars on April 18-21, 2024.
I will be running this game three times during the convention, one each on Thursday , Friday and Saturday.

The pictures illustrate how a small portion of the table space might look in my convention game.

Great looking setup. Each side is starting out awfully close to each other. Not much time for the Union artillery to wear them down. Are they already in canister range?

@Old c.: this is more of a setting of all the troops on the table to inspect them and make sure that everything is ready for the game. The troops won't start this close to each other. The game will be played on three parallel 6ft by 24ft tables. Seminary Ridge is on one table, then Emmitsburg Road on the middle table, and Cemetery Ridge on the third table. Thus the Confederates have to cross approximately 9-10 feet of table surface to reach the stone walls at the Copse of Trees. CSA casualties don't really pile up until they cross the Emmitsburg Road when rifle fire adds to the artillery fired at them.

Looks really great! I hope you'll post more of the actual game.

Damn, that's a hell of a set up. Three tables, do you run it yourself or do you have a crew to help out?

Set ups like these keep pushing me to do more with my games. Hope to see it live on Saturday.

Wonderful work and visually very impressive.

War gaming in the ‘Grand Manner' . Mr Gilder would approve I am sure.

Best wishes,

Chris

I'm signed up for the Saturday game, and will push my Virginians to victory.

As of today my Thursday and Friday games are sold out, but there are plenty of tickets left for my Saturday game. Look up game number 118 on Saturday at 10 AM.

Sometimes players who signed up don't show up for various reasons, so it can't hurt to stop by my table and see if something opened up.

I will be taking plenty of pictures of the games ( I need more content for future videos) and post them on my blog, some on TMP, and on various Facebook group sites.

Thank you to everyone who has signed up for the game. I think that we are going to have a lot of fun.

Saturdays game was brutal as my artillery pre-bombardment was pretty ineffective, but my tarheels made it to the wall….
