OK, on a less controversial note, there is a clip in the movie above showing the 1st Regiment of Cuirassier's charge at Eylau. The clip clearly shows the regiment is carrying French Revolutionary cavalry standards, to the point that one says Premier Consul in the center. There seems to be a different color standard of this pattern for each squadron.

Is there any way this could possibly be legit, and if so, do you have a reference?
