Optio is an Ancients system designed for miniatures (but also with a VASSAL module) that I've been testing and refining over the last few years. It's already been playtested quite a bit but you can never get enough of that.

It's core features are on-field bookkeeping using counters/cubes, (nearly) diceless combat and movement and adaption of army lists of other rulesets to Optio mechanisms – the player of course must already possess those lists.

I'm happy to offer the ruleset, ref sheets, player aids and anything else a playtester needs, for tabletop or online gaming. Besides fame and riches I'm looking for player input on gameplay and their feel about historicity.

Anyone interested can email me at: justinswanton[at]gmail[dot]com.

I have a blog here and a forum here. They give a good idea of how Optio works.
