I know many of my customers monitor news on TMP so I'd like to render a quick update if I may. We closed back in Nov to move both household and my workshop, but at that time we had not found a new location. Since then we have found it in Gloucester, Virginia. The move has been completed but we are still in the process of closing down the old house and prepping it for market within the next few days or weeks. Both endeavors were/have not been an easy task believe me. I have only been able to stay in intermittent email contact which is also frustrating. At present my new workshop is in total disarray – as are several other rooms of the new location. I hope and anticipate reopening Thoroughbred Figures late April/early May at best, and hope you all will understand. As a pre Post Script of sorts – and a new subject matter to boot – while our moving travails began in November I have since learned of an occurrence in the hobby industry that is both disturbing and I fear will be far reaching in depth and practice thruout the metal casting world. There is some discussion of this on the ‘Casting/Molding' group here on TMP. In a few words we can no longer purchase black rubber molding material to cast while metal items and many will be looking for viable alternatives if there are any. Thank you, and hope to see you all soon. Toby Barrett |

Overall this is good news. Toby, will you produce any 1/600 scale ships once you start up again if you are able to cast at all? |

Great news, Toby even with the caveats! As has been said before, "This too, Shall Pass!" and the perpetrators will be long forgotten!!! |

I hope you come out with some new 1/600 scale ships. |

Best of luck, Toby! I hate to move under any conditions. Would rather go to the dentists than move. We know you will make it back up and running regardless of the sitrep. Good people always do and you are among the best! |

Toby; Just let me know when I can order the 1/600th scale ships again and I will be happy. I wish you the best with your move. I know it ain't easy. Take care of business and we go from there. You are one of the Good Guys in the hobby. I wish you the best with all the chaos that is moving. Eric |

All I can add since my posting five days ago is that the problem is being ‘worked' – from reliable sources – here in the states. No idea of when or how. When and if I hear more I will post again but I'm only in intermittent internet capability. Toby Barrett |
