"Is Hasslefree Miniatures defunct?" Topic

I know Sally and Arty have ongoing health issues but anyone close to HF know if Hasslefree are still a going concern?

Their Kickstarter has shown no updates or replies for many weeks and at least one backer who requested a refund stated he was "blocked" on Messenger.

On HF Facebook there are no responses to requests for updates on orders placed 7 weeks ago?

I sincerely hope this is just a bump in the road as HF have been a great little family business!

My perception is things at HF minis have been in a gradual decline for the past couple years. For many reasons.

The recent KS campaign morphed into a sad litany of excuses, silences, and broken promises. I've written off my KS pledge $$$.

Shame, really. I had a soft spot for Kev's sculpting in particular, and small, indie hobby businesses in general.

Here's hoping they can sell the business to someone else who can get it up and running again.

Hasslefree Miniatures has some of the best sculpted and characterful figures around. Hope they can overcome any setbacks and continue to be successful.

But I'd caution anyone doing business with them until they sort out their long-running SNAFU.

Well shoot. I just dropped $100 USD+ on an order with them last week. wish I had seen this first.

Honestly I do have a real soft spot for Hasslefree, and if my payment becomes simply a donation towards their healthcare fund, I suppose I'd be OK with that. Hoping the best for them. But I would like to get more miniatures out of them at some point.

I'll update you all if I hear anything from them (including in the form of a box of miniatures on my doorstep).

They did send my last order thru but it did take some chasing and over two months.
