"Navwar - any recent news ?" Topic

I sent off an order to them about 4 weeks ago, after the note that they were working toward casting again. I have heard nothing since that.

I have tried the phone line on a saturday pm but it seems permanently off the hook and cuts you off after one or two rings.

I'm not in any hurry for the order but would like to know that it got to them and that my cheque is safely in their hands. Not cashed the last time I looked.

Does any one have any recent news of them ? Are they now casting again ? Are there delays ? Has anyone had an order from them fulfilled in the last month ?

From what I've seen, mostly on Facebook, they are carrying on as normal, albeit a bit slower than before. I think there has also been a rush of orders from people who thought they were closing, or who held off and having found that they are carrying on have put orders in.

Finally got through on the phone. Tony wasn't there today but a very helpful neighbour of his was helping out and found my order. He told me that he was working through the orders he has but it may take a while.

I'm sure we'll all be happy with that, all things considered; I know I'm relieved that it got there.

That's good news. I rang and spoke with Tony last Saturday (that 8 hour time difference is not so fun but it was like a blast from the past chatting with him). I'm debating whether I place an order now or pop in when I'm in England for an archaeology dig and seeing uni mates in June.

Did you get your order in the end GildasFacit?

Following the sad, and sudden, passing recently of Tony it has been posted on Facebook that his widow has taken up the reins and started casting models, including some that were out of stock. Please if you're thinking of ordering be kind and patient as she is taking over something which Tony ran for 55 years. I wish her every success.
