Hi everyone,

Looking to put together a game surrounding the 1297 events at Lanark that resulted in William Wallace killing the Sherrif of Lanark and inspiring uprising against the English in Scotland. Would love more info on the events beyond what Wikipedia can report on. Lord knows I'm not looking at Braveheart as a resource. I figure the depths of TMP would be able to provide some knowledge soup. For instance, who and how many folks were involved in the skirmish?

I think the main source is Blind Harry. The Society of William Wallace website (recommended) mentions an English source, Thomas Gray's Scalacronicon, with some details, but frankly it sounds less like an 'action' and more like a 'mugging'.
And I live within sight of the Wallace Monument.
