Second session in our Nightwatch campaign, Grave of the Sun.

Our heroes travel to the deep desert to find someone who can decipher the mysterious symbols on the broken wooden canister.

Gorgeous terrain and painted figures! Well written, fun to read, battle report. Thanks for sharing!

One question: does the terrain come into play, or is it just eye-candy for the game? Seems like the battles all take place on flat, level ground. A shame if it is not functional within the game. Cheers!

In the past, characters seek the high ground/rooftops/balconies, but in general we don't have characters enter such small buildings.
If we want to play in an 'interior', I have 2D tiles or 3D set ups for that.

Nice. Maybe the camel is the smartest one there.

I love the carpet underlay idea for the terrain pieces! I can use that! I use rubber grippy carpet underlay beneath my green carpet ground cloth. I will be using a friend's Dwarven Forge dungeon terrain in the Autumn. I will use my carpet grippy underlay to keep his DF terrain pieces from wandering/sliding. This idea suggested by your photos, is pure gold! Cheers!
