No, these tools are very old and quite primitive therefore far too advanced for Russian conscripts.

A groundbreaking find that shows that early hominids dispersed earlier than was previously thought possible.Humanoid fossils have been found at Dmansi in Georgia that might be related to these tools. The fossils are about 1.85 million years old.
One can barely imagine the extreme danger involved in walking such vast distances in a world with predatory mammals; homotherium, cave lions, cave hyena, wolves, and bears may have found scattered bands of hominins a tempting snack.Obtaining food along the trek would have sometimes seemed near impossible for foragers in arid regions working their way north in stages over generation.
