Getting ready to place a nice sized order to Badger Games for Lucid Eye minis. Any thoughts on sources of cheap appropriate animals for the time frame? The sets Roger has been showing are more 15mm

Badger also carries Dead Man's Hand figures. This is an Old West line, which includes goats. I bought some of the goats for my Mycenaeans. Lucid Eye's 28 mm ancients are sometimes a little taller than the Mycenaeans I bought from Foundry, but the goats seem to fit well enough. The Dead Man's Hand figures include other animals, which are worth looking at. These seemed to be reasonably priced but aren't as cheap as some of the plastic animals I've bought.

I'm looking more for dangerous animals, dire wolves, saber tooth tigers etc.
Reaper Bones used to be the less expensive option, but no more!

I ended up buying a few from Reaper. Still would like a couple bison and a mammoth or two.

Check for toys in Target and Walmart, and especially on Amazon/Temu/AliBaba

Several years ago, the local Hobby Lobby store had a line of prehistoric animal Christmas tree decorations made of resin. I got two mammoths. They aren't quite big enough to be Imperial mammoths (the largest species) but could pass for smaller species in 28 mm. The website has died, but you might find one at Christmas stores.

Scales are all over the board, but how about the old Marx and MPC stuff?

That's what I was thinking!

Grelber, I will not do business with Hobby Lobby.
