The second game in our Havana Sharp Practice campaign was a lot of fun with some interesting Cuban/Spanish units. This game inspired by the Stuart Imsch booklet Against Spain: Wargaming the Sieges of Havana and Manila 1762-1764. This scenario takes place 6 miles or so from the Cojimar beaches, June 8, 1762. The Spanish send out forces to oppose the Crown advance and plan on meeting them along a ridge outside of Guanabacoa. Bit of a long shot – I'm just wondering if any of the Perry plastic Hussars can be painted to represent Duchy of Warsaw Hussars? |

Interesting campaign I know very little about. However when I hit the link it goes to Flicker and see all kinds of pictures of games but nothing on the game talked about here. |

In alt history 1988 my US Marines are engaged over the same ground! Your depictions of the Cojimar and the Eastern approaches to Havana is far superior to mine! I'm in awe. |

@tomsurbiton, I'd use the French Hussars, if there are differences they will be very minor and totally invisible at 2 feet on the table and unless you area real pedant this will work fine for wargaming. |

Thanks Mark, I had thought the French Hussars might be the best idea. Only wish my painting skills were good enough for me to be pedantic! |

@Tomsurbiton, If being a bit pedantic, use a bit of modelling clay to fatten the plumes at the bottom link link link
