… equals snow on the tabletop?

Do you tend to play more (or possibly only) snowy tabletop games when it is snowing outside? Maybe the other way around? Of course, some people may not have any snow games for the tabletop … or outside the door!

We have some seasonal games set in our (roughly) thermocline that we play in the winter because it is winter outside. Other ones with snow, either set at the poles or in fictional snowy settings tend to come out more often when it is snowing, or at least winter.

I guess I am "snowy games more often when snowing".

Suggested response scale:
No snow where I live
No snow in my games
Snowy games more often when snowing
No discernable difference for games with snow
We play games with snow more often when it is hot hot hot

No snow in the games I've played since moving to Florida. There were a few games with snow while living in Chicago. The outside weather was not involved.

Up to now, no snow in my games. But I have just bought five houses for WW2 or similar. They were Xmas decorations going for almost nothing, but only do they have snow on their rooves, they have the SAME snow on all their rooves.

No relationship between the two

I've never played on a snow board…

No snow in my games. I hate that stuff and I live in Maine.

Very very rarely game with winter settings – and I live in Canada! A lot of our games are set in southern China/NW and central Europe (in the summer) and on the dusty roads of the ACW

Nope, sorry.

I don't think I've ever run or played in a game with snow … no, there was a convention game set in Germany in early 1945 with some snow. That convention was over Labor Day, as I recall.

I did acquire some cheap polyester fleece that gives the impression of snow on dark gray ground that I might put to that use some day.

I have done Three snow games, Trenton, Second Trenton, and Princeton. Did them all in the summer. I didn't plan it that way. It's just that around Christmas it is hard to get players where I live. Doesn't snow that much around here and on the rare times it does, no one wants to drive in it just for a game.

Well, if you need 'snow' on your tabletop, a piece of white felt or cloth is about all you need. Anything else is a cleanup nightmare… ;-)

No snow on my tables. Never cared for troops in overcoats.
