On the scale of "Conventions and Wargame Shows" this is arguably a more modest event, but it still warrants posting here, at least IMHO…

On Thursday March 7th & Friday March 8th my friend Mark Deliduka will be marking the occasion of finishing his 900th scale model AFV by putting his entire collection on display at the Knights of Columbus Hall at 11217 N Anaheim Blvd. in Anaheim, California. This is the same place where the "St. Crispin's Irregulars" wargaming club meets on a weekly basis. The building has its own parking lot conveniently attached.

I encourage anyone reading this who lives within driving distance and is interested in scale modeling and/or Armored Fighting Vehicles to stop by for a visit, enjoy seeing the collection up close in person, and get the chance to pick Mark's brain re: any and all things scale model related.

I've known Mark for close to a decade-and-a-half but only once before have I seen his entire collection laid out for review. That was a few years ago, I think on the occasion of reaching 800 finished pieces…

Mark is a great guy who's always happy to answer questions and share modeling tips. I will definitely be stopping by at some point and if I'm lucky maybe I'll get to run into a fellow TMPer while I'm there!

All I can say is "WOW!!"

Wish I was close enough to see it.

Great collection and display. Does Mr. Deliduka game with these? Does he collect any other periods?

Mad Guru26 Feb 2024 4:03 p.m. PST

@Wolfshanza: That is a pity! Hopefully you'll be able to see some of his collection at the Hall another time.

@Little Red: Yes, Mark uses lots of his models for gaming. I believe he plays any/all periods, as well as sci-fi & fantasy, but mostly collects WWI thru Moderns, including interwar and Cold War stuff.

VITAL CORRECTION: Somehow I screwed up and put a typo into the address for the Hall, which should be 1127 -- without that extra "1" stuck in there. My apologies!

Here's the correct address in full:

Knights of Columbus Hall
1127 N Anaheim Blvd.
Anaheim, CA 92801

Little Red, here's a good pic from Mark showing the timespan of his model making interests: a WWI mobile pigeon loft next to an Iraq War gun truck…

UPDATED WEDNESDAY MARCH 6TH…

Mark is at the Hall setting up his collection and just sent me this photo of the first table (of an expected 4 or 5 in total) with all his German models on it:

If you're local to Anaheim, interested in scale modeling and/or 20th-21st Century AFV's, and have a little time to spare, I encourage you to stop by the Knights of Columbus Hall at 1127 N Anaheim Blvd. and check out Mark's collection, which will be on display a little later today, all day tomorrow (Thursday), and on Friday morning before he starts packing it all up to take back home. Again, I hope to see you there!

…And here are pics of the next 3 tables, featuring his Russians, Americans, and Europeans, Canadians & Aussies:
