I managed to get my paws on a copy of the old MB Games/Citadel game Battlemasters. It's mostly complete and I've subbed in some spare figures that I had to make up for the missing kit. My twins (7 years of age) and I played a game over two days and it was excellent. They really enjoyed it, grasped the rules relatively quickly and were soon discussing together how they were going to handle things. It was wonderful. We're planning a Dads v Kids game with their cousins on Saturday. You can find some pics here. link |

Used to play this with my son (and wife as well). We had a running tally of victories and defeats. My son favored the artillery, too! (He loved laying out the cannon tiles and flipping them…) |
