Anyone know about this game?

Haven't heard much and surprising that it is coming from Warlord since they already do Bolt Action.

Anyone play it and feedback?

Don't think that it's released yet. Just teasers leaving you to compare it to other games, like Bolt Action. It looks to me like they want you to buy more 28mm tanks.

It kinda looks like "What a Tanker"
The all-in starter of Starters crunches in at $892.00 USD
And the dismounted tankers have that cartoony caricature look to them.

Looks like you can get the rulebook by itself. The description says it has unit cards in the book to photocopy. I'm thinking of getting it and playing it with 15mm tanks.

Kinda looks a lot like Hell Hath no Fury from Two Hour Wargames.

A gent was running demo's of the rules at Cincycon this weekend. A friend of mine played them. He is a WAT player as well. He said they were like a grown up version of WAT. He really enjoyed them and talked about some interesting mechanics they used. He was very positive about them. I didn't get a chance to try them.

Thanks

John

My local game shop,Waterloo Games, has ran two demos of Achtung Panzer. It is a lot different than WaT! Very interesting game system with a lot of new rules and game systems.

I have enjoyed playing in both demos and look forward to buying the rules soon!

Didn't Warlord buy Skytrex 15mm? If so, wonder what they would do with it.

Saw it at Historicon, the blokes who wrote it were doing demo games.

I actually purchased it when it was first announced and was bitterly disappointed at the penetration values and armor stats. They are so ridiculously incorrect and inaccurate, it renders the game worthless.

Watching the demo at the Historicon only confirmed my suspicion. It develops every time into a game of ring around the rosie, with Shermans and Panthers literally running around buildings hiding from each other.

I suppose if you're not into WWII historical wargaming it might be amusing, but for those of us who know better, this is not a game for playing, its a game for putting into the game cupboard and avoiding…..
