Painting 1/144th US Trucks and stuff link Found a color combo that works for me: link I used AK 11339 #9 Olive Drab, AK11436 Canvas Tone and dusted AK Pigment Dark Earth (stock number rubbed off). Paint is all acrylic. Really happy with the results. |

The "been in the field look" is so much better than the fresh from the factory look. |

Thanks, all! Am having fun while doing it. Using the pigments from AK has been a better experience for me than shaved colored pastel sticks. Just received in the mail from Pit Road, 1/144th WWII German army vehicles set 1. It contains 2 each of SdKfz 250, 251, PzKfw II F and Opel Blitz trucks. Injection molded gray styrene plastic with decals. The fit of the pieces are on the level of a 1/35th Tamiya kit. Alignment of parts makes these a (relatively) quick build. All are welcome because I am working to build units for North Africa. Pit Road even has DAK palm decals included on the decal sheet. Hoping to try out some pigments for "dusting up" these for operations in North Africa. Again, thnaks to all for your encouragement! |
