Hi all, do you have a reliable source you can recommend for printing 18mm Napoleonics. I need someone with experience scaling down STL files and using resins that offer reasonable toughness to survive tabletop battles. I am looking at having Artillery pieces printed and need fine detail. I had initially thought of going to a local 3D print shop but realize now experience is key.
Thanks for any pointers.
Regards.
Alan.

Check Etsy. I have had vendors scale up and down with great results. Sorry none of their shop names come to mind.

I second Etsy shops. Most will do custom work as far as scaling prints up/down, that they already have and make.

There is a rubber-like resin which can be used for printing miniatures. The trick is to find someone who will use it, and of course, how much they will charge.

Apparently, a mixture of the brittle, less expensive resins, along with the expensive, rubber-like resin, will work. Something like 70 % brittle/30% rubber-like, is good. I would shop for a 50-50 mix, personally. All of the resin 3D figures I've bought, have proven very brittle, and nearly every one has broken off at the ankles: 28mm figures…

I am swearing off 3D printed mini's, for the foreseeable future, due to the brittleness of miniatures making mine, at least, unusable for gaming. Cheers!
