It took a week, but I finally got my blog post up about the BATTLE OF ALIWAL (First Sikh War) using Battle Command rules. Enjoy!

Eric, great writeup and nice looking table and figures! Sounds like you all enjoyed Battle Command. I own them but haven't played them yet…still use FoB3.

Very nice set up. I have Sikh Wars figs in 25's and have hesitated doing this battle due to the amount of entrenched artillery the Sikhs had. I was afraid the center of the British line would get wiped out very quickly….

@LVG, that was a great concern of mine and the British commander after taking some casualties while advancing. I believe that we rate the Sikh artillery too highly in most colonial rules.

Which Cigar Box mats did you use?

DinOfBattle220 Feb 2024 8:15 a.m. PST

Game mats: Cigar Box Sicily maps x 2. These will be great for Boxer Rebellion, Maximilian in Mexico, Punic Wars, Greco-Persian Wars, and Russo-Japanese War collections! Love them, but I sure wish they would make one 10' x 6' cloth! That would be perfect.
