I like the information on Sherman tank logistics: If it isn't destroyed or completely worn out, don't replace it!

Yes, the various types were mostly considered interchangeable, with occasional exceptions. The 76mm gun tanks when they were new were often parceled out to different units to give a few to everyone. The Sherman Jumbo, extra armor version of the Sherman, often used as an assault gun, or maybe just the first tank in a column.
