Yes, the various types were mostly considered interchangeable, with occasional exceptions. The 76mm gun tanks when they were new were often parceled out to different units to give a few to everyone. The Sherman Jumbo, extra armor version of the Sherman, often used as an assault gun, or maybe just the first tank in a column. Thanks for reading Grelber. Bunkermeister |
