Sieges and trench games are probably OK ones sided with the attacker being a GM or AI. A bit like Plants vs Zombies. Zulu wars probably the same. ASW is fun and I remember lots of Double Blind Harpoon. It could work again with modernized rules. |

Any war is interesting. Street fights against drunks coming on to your girlfriend, people calling you a chicken because of your hairstyle, all highly gameable, just use GURPS. |

Louis, I think it works better if the GM is the defender. I guess it depends on the scenario. |

Then it was probably not the first, and certainly not the last, armed conflict based on dubious claims, Robert. Of course, the theatre of operations for the contest I nominated will be judicial rather than maritime. The 'big guns' will be wearing suits and carrying brief cases, and the only 'shooting down' will be verbal, but as the verdict is announced the combatants on the losing side will experience an unpleasant sinking feeling. |
