Just about done with having The Battle of Gettysburg set up for some local Home School Children and their parents to come over and learn about the battle. I have attempted to reach out to the Florence Unified School District, and Leadership Academy to offer this to them as well. Once I have a date set on this, I will play Day 2 of the Battle, this will be open to anyone that would like to play the game. If interested, please contact me. I am located in Florence AZ. |

Sounds like a great opportunity! I would love to attend if I didn't live 2,000 miles away. Reminds me of the story that some Gettysburg, PA public school teachers told me. The students of Gettysburg can do dioramas of the battle of Gettysburg as long as the "soldiers" in the dioramas don't have guns. Seriously. |

Sorry that I dont know how to post pictures here. It is rather strange some of the restrictions from schools. Have yet to get something like that. |

A friend and I set part of a battle up at a local elementary school years ago (his daughter was a student). We did a living diorama, if you will. We talked about tactics, weapons, medical care, etc. Personally, I would shy away from actually playing a game. If I may, the purpose of the event is to teach history, not to teach them how to wargame. Parents and students will quickly lose interest if you expect them to stand around and watch other people play a game that they do not understand. |

I've been to Gettysburg Several times. Still want to go back always something to learn there. I only live 4-5 hour s away, but things in life keep me from going there. I think, and this my option, every High School student should go there. They would learn more of history, more of the changes we made toward beliefs and civil rights in our Country. And the true history of the War. It saddens me the way our history is being replaced. You can't change what has happened in our past. I am a Vietnam Veteran and we worked out our differences a hundred plus years later to do our job and servere our country. |

Perris….I would expect that that story is, indeed, just a story. |
