The large selection of historical miniatures and support for the different historical periods and games seems lacking at any stores I have visited on the East Coast, except maybe Hobby Bunker in Massachusetts.

I know there are a couple in SoCal, but I can't think of any out east (Midwest has a fee of course).

Is your inquiry regarding East coast vendors who retail for a broad range of historical lines, or for one that also has a walk in brick and mortar component?

Brick and mortar, I love going and scrounging around in a shop.

Brigade Games is located in New Jersey. I don't know if they accommodate on site shopping.

I'm not aware of anything comparable to what Brookhurst or the Last Grenadier was back in the day.

Modeler's Mart in Florida? but they are long gone.

There is a small chain in the NoVa and WV called Your Hobby Place. They do carry contemporary historicals including Perry, Warlord, Flames of War and others, but, at any given time, the selection is not as deep as it was in the old days. Lotta Games Workshop and in-store gaming too.

I live in Northern Virginia and haven't seen anything like Brookhurst (or the Last Grenadier) around here.

The Hobby Bunker in Boston is the nearest thing to Brookhurst that I have found.

Very good selection.

As a side note, a few years ago, I was allowed to go up to Brookhurst's attic to look for some 20mm WWII figures. Talk about Aladdin cave. I only looked at a few shelves and can only imagine the treasures I missed.

Wow Colonel, that sounds beyond an amazing opportunity!

AAA Hobbies in Somerdale, NJ is pretty good. Paints, brushes etc. plastic kits and plastic figures from 1/72nd to 54mm. They have plastics from Warlord, Victrix etc.

I have been to Brookhurst and it was great. Hobby Bunker is on another level IMHO. Does anyone remember the Emperor's Headquarters?

What is it with Wisconsin and hobby stores? Is it some kind of residual aura from Duke Seifried lingering still?

Emperor's HQ was awesome. And deals could be had if you asked nice evil grin

I was able to pick through some returned stock and ended up clearing out the section (better discount if I took it all, 15mm R&F Crimea)

Brookhurst is a wonderland of stuff. I just wish it was a tad more organized as I'm convinced I only saw a fraction of the stock and there are likely loads of out of print stuff buried here and there amongst the shelves.

I stopped by Hobby Bunker a couple of times while out there on business and it is very very good.

Not the East Coast but Last Square in Madison, WI is on a par with the above mentioned stores.

Other than those three, I don't know of any stores with really extensive stocks of miniatures.

GeneralMycroft12 Feb 2024 8:31 p.m. PST

Good to hear Hobby Bunker is on the same level. Last Square sounds excellent!

Now if there was just a way for me to get into Brookhurst's attic.
