Here is the vanguard of the nearly 600 miniatures I painted for my 28mm AWI wargaming endeavor. I used mostly Citadel Contrasts and Army Painter Speedpaints, with regular acrylic model paints used for dry brushes and certain small details. Regimental flags are all GMB Designs with some Flags of War also used for a couple regiments. The uniform here for the 4th Connecticut is based on contemporary descriptions of the uniforms as well as several artist's renderings including Don Troiani. Like most uniforms from the time period, there is always leeway for uniformity as well as a uniform changing during a regiment's service.

Very nicely done. AWI is my favorite period to game. |
