As part of a larger project to refight the Battle of Camperdown in 1:700 scale, I have been looking at trying out a new set of rules namely Far Distant Ships by David Manley and designed with big battles in mind.

The rules needed some adapting, with them being designed primarily for 1:2400 or 1:1200, but after a bit of rescaling and a few other minor tweaks proved to offer a very compelling game with plenty of decision points, narrative and the ability to match the timings of this reasonably well documented battle, with an historic outcome to match.

I have those, but haven't tried them out yet. Glad to hear your opinion of them.
