Love the Sheridan. I think the only one in plastic in 1/72 or 1/76 is the old Airfix version. Wish they would re-release that along with the Centurion.

For US armor, I always thought it was a cool looking tank. My platoon sergeant was a Sheriden tanker in Vietnam.

Didn't the OPFOR in California use Sheridan's as BMP's?

Yes, they did vis mod BMPs. But they could not carry dismounts. They later switched to M 113s.

The gun on the Sheridan had a terrific recoil. People still told stories about guys who forgot to move their knees out of the way.

Cool story. Haven't heard that detail. Yeah I've read the recoil from firing conventional rounds would often damage the complicated sighting mechanism for the ATGMs. I think Force on Force has a special reliability roll for it. I love the vehicle though, full 4 man crew but compact with a lot of MG ammo having to stowed outside. It has a great utilitarian look with lots of "stuff" adorning it.

In my game these babies are going to be air dropped into Cuba to support the 82nd Airborne and their parachute assault of a major airfield.
