We're off on another new year of satisfying our whims and staying ahead of the Lead Pile.

It was a good month for me. I was able to finish a few different things painted and though I refrained from buying anything I was gifted 7 Samurai figures and told if you paint them they're yours. A massive order coming from Pendraken so we will see what happens for the rest of the first quarter.

Bought – 7 (28mm Old Glory 7 Samurai,7)
Painted – 39 (28mm John Jenkins Warring States Chinese,17 Warfare LoA,13.
15mm Battlefront WW2,2)

The month – +32

YTD – +32

Over Christmas, I saw the first Hobbit movie, which motivated me to take a break from Mycenaeans and paint some of the figures from Games Workshop's Escape from Goblintown set I bought years ago. It went pretty well: I painted up 37 regular goblins plus the Great Goblin of the Misty Mountains, so 38 figures altogether.

Despite my efforts to buy figures, the things I ordered did not arrive in January.

YTD
38 painted
0 purchased

February is Genghis Con, and I tend to buy a significant number of figures, so we'll see if I can keep ahead.

Bought 5 Anglo-Saxons
Painted 22 Anglo-Saxons (28mm)
6 Sdkfz251 (15mm)
15 prices of cobbled road

While I'm not entirely sure how to count all those, I'm definitely ahead! And the Saxons completed an army to my satisfaction.

Finished 25x 6mm WWII Russian buildings, purchased nothing. So +25 on the month.

Good start for the year. Only bought what I thought was a good deal(but finding out I might not need them). Finished of 3 armies as far as I can(need a few more figures). Finally starting the Prussians I have been collecting for a big push.

bought = 60
painted= 364
total= +300

Hopefully I can keep up the painting.

Actually painted something finally.
Painted
8 Saxon spearmen

Bought 0

YTD +8

Blackhorse MP25 Feb 2024 9:03 a.m. PST

Bought 0
Painted 4 ACW artillery limbers

YTD 4 ACW artillery limbers

Key thing here is the Bought number…0.

Trying to keep it there unless I start a new period. I think I already have enough stuff, including unpainted, for my main periods of interest. Is that Blasphemy?
