…the American Revolution

"The red-coated soldiers of King George's regiments of foot fought around the world during the American Revolution. This volume details each regiment, whether it fought in America, the West Indies, Africa, India, or the Mediterranean, or remained at home to defeat a Franco-Spanish invasion. Gleaned from numerous primary sources, including military returns and newspapers, and profusely illustrated, each regimental entry provides the details that made each unit unique, from the most senior regiments of Foot Guards through the Highlanders, Lowlanders, Irish, and English regiments. The nativity of the men and officers is detailed when available, along with a listing of field officers, campaigns, and casualty information. Contains hundreds of images including the contents of the Grenadier Book of 1771 and the Lace Book of 1768, published here for the first time in color."

The book looks interesting but shipping is ridiculous.

Does seem a bit much for shipping – Amazon has on kindle though

Looking through the preview – seems very detailed

I didn't catch the shipping, what was it? I know shipping, even via media mail, (the cheapest), just keeps getting higher and higher. Ups, fedex and others are ridiculous. Shipping to Canada from the US, just is not worth it to the Canadian buying books from me.

Since when I tried to find the location of the company and wasn't able to I think the $17 USD shipping charge is high but if overseas from the US that might be normal. Not really sure.

Well it would have been over $20 USD to ship 3 books, 2 states up to Canada, 2 years ago. Obviously it was not worth it to the buyer, and I don't blame him. I was shipping the same amount to Michigan for around $4 USD at the same time.

Now things are much higher.
