Encouragement for me to dig out my 25/28mm Army of Orient and their oppressors, for more tabletop action. Ran several historical scenarios (Gaza, Pyramids, Mt Tabor, Davout up the Nile, about five years ago…… but it is time again. Love your scenario idea and collection of miniatures. M

Thanks for posting. Interesting scenario. I like that you make the Mamluk cavalry better than the French to balance the armies. Mamluk cavalry could also be made impetuous.
Your lovely diverse units and also those of Wargamerabbit inspired me to get into this period in 15mm!

Mameluke cavalry is a pain especially since the French lack enough cavalry plus the tendency to field large units makes the French rely on divisional squares. I think making them impetuous is right on as they never fought a modern army, they trusted the old tried and true method of warfare that brought them into power.
