Yes as I have said, and we have seen the anti-Trump forces will do anything and everything to slow the process of anything he tries to do. There is a small well-funded left-wing liberal woke progressive socialists, etc. movement that hates Trump so much. They will try to stop him doing things that are or will actually help/support we the people. Plus much of the media are not real supporters of Trump either. These 5th columnists are not there to do things to help the USA. But to stay in power … That is all they care about. |

I think we all agree that we want the illegal criminals and gangs out of the US. But the Supreme Court has said that even foreigners have the right of Due Process. I want to see Trump follow the law and Due Process to remove them. This can be done. Trump removed 2.5 million illegals in his first term without challenge. I want Due Process to protect me. Someday there will be a very far left president. If Trump opens the door to not following law or Due Process then this president may look at a small Christian denomination that opposed abortion or thinks Homosexuality is a sin and is against tran-genderism and he/she calls them domestic terrorists and then kicks them out of the country or locks them up as the far left cheers and say about time. If these judges are stopping Trump because he is not following law or due process then I support them. However, if they are just trying to stick it to Trump cuz they don't like him then I certainly would oppose that. |

I want to see Trump follow the law and Due Process to remove them. He has been. He pursued normal deportation processes and then the Democrats and allied judges blocked it. So he invoked the Alien Enemies Act, and now they have again issues a ruling to block it. However, if they are just trying to stick it to Trump cuz they don't like him then I certainly would oppose that. The rest of your worries are hyperbole. Trump's policy history shows he's actually a traditional moderate Democrat/Republican along the lines of Truman, Ike and JFK. But the Democrats have run off the deep end of Leftism and all they gave is obstructionism. |

I want Due Process to protect me. Illegal aliens, Green Card holders etc. don't have the same rights as US citizens. That is a fact. Not just a good idea. The second most important point is in this situation. Millions of illegal aliens including criminals of all type were illegally sanctioned by many in the US Gov't. I.e. million came across the border. Because the former POTUS, VP, Dems and their wealthy left-wing, liberal, woke progressive socialist globalist, etc. that supported these politicians literally had a "coup". One can't say it was a "bloodless clue". Not with all the US citizens that died by the actions of many of the illegal aliens. The POTUS, et al has buckets of blood on their hands. Because of their policies, agenda, etc. The open border policy was illegal … The POTUS was mentally incapable of being in office. The Dems and media knew this … allowed it. A wealthy well connected intellectual college grad minority of liberal left woke progressive etc. activists push an agenda. A narrative that in reality the people the Gov't was supposed to take care of were overlooked and lied too. Many laws were broken. Too many of we the people were negatively affected, etc. The POTUS should have actually been Art. 25(IIRC). But the Dems boxed themselves in by picking a generally ineffective candidate for POTUS. Who tried to run 3 times before. He was not even well thought of by the POTUS when he was VP. Nor by others in DC. They picked the VP using their favorite go to method – DEI … But the Dems, their wealthy woke progressive supporter had to stay in power. To change the USA into the USSA … The threat to democracy was from within … |

"Due process" for illegals 🤔 Now those who let the millions in…. Illegally…. Mostly unvetted, now are concerned about legal processes when these "illegals" are being sent back? Currently the majority of them, are criminals and violent gang members. I am not forgetting the ones who are anti-semites and mouth pieces for Islamic terrorists. Then I think of our citizens who have been murdered, robbed, rapped, tortured or killed or maimed by illegals in auto accidents. People like Rachel Morin and Jocelyn Nungaray. Were they given "due process" before they were brutally rapped and murdered? They were actual citizens, entitled to life, liberty and pursuit of happiness. Well, until some individuals decided it was more important to allow an invasion, for whatever nefarious purposes. From 2024 "WASHINGTON — Federal numbers released Friday show that more than 15,000 illegal immigrants currently living in the US are convicted or accused of homicide" Pardon me if I should NO tears for the "due process" of those who broke our laws to enter our country.. illegally. My issue with this is that I want the bad guys out of here, but I don't like the look of defying judges who serve as a check on abuse of power. It not unreasonable to require that the deportations be delayed briefly, detaining the bad guys and answering a judge's questions to make sure that Trump's action are legally sustainable. I think they are regarding proven criminals. But just answer the judge. Blaming everything on previous Dems looks a lot like fearmongering and scape-gloating when it becomes the answer to everything. It's not always the fault of the same old boogey men. Liberals are not "scum" any more than conservatives. Legion there is more than a "minor civil war" brewing, I think. Not a shooting war, but a political resistance that may unite more of the center with actual liberals. If they find a leader from the middle…. But right now the Dems are no threat to anyone. |

Sadly I have seen what these "judges" do. I saw violent criminals released back into the public, to kill and rape again. In NYC, SF and other major cities. We heard it almost weekly for 4 years. Blue Judges and Soros backed DA's. Backed by groups like the ACLU. Also they did nothing but delay for the four previous years of Trumps administration. Waiting out the 2 years and 4 year terms. Delay, delay and hope for more Democrats to be elected. These are almost all taking place in blue judicial districts. We know why. So I honestly have very little confidence in their "rulings based on the law". IMHO, they are activists before being judges of the law. Please convince me I have misjudged them and am wrong about what was happening in the last 4 years in those cities. |
Tortorella | 29 Mar 2025 8:56 a.m. PST |
35th we disagree here – IMO: There is no one who has used delay in court to better advantage than Trump, with his revolving army of lawyers. Its Trump's Supreme Court. Let them decide these serious questions. Let the evidence you describe be sanctioned by them. We need reform everywhere, and we all know things have gone wrong too many times. The constant attacking, personal or otherwise, of judges Trump disagrees with makes the country look like our system is collapsing, which it most definitely was not these last four years- this from an independent with no love for Dems. Trump was President throughout 2020, not one of our better years. |

I never said they had the same rights as Americans and I would not assume they would. Yes that is the case. They don't have the same rights. I said the Supreme Court has ruled that they do have due process rights. That was the point of what I wrote. Yes, but that is the rub. How long does it take to give thousands due process. Just like with allowing illegal alien in without vetting. Just catch and release. And tell them to come back in a few years for a hearing. Of course the border should never have been opened by the POTUS, etc. in the first place. How would you properly vet 20 million illegal aliens in a timely manner. You can't. Which they must of known. But it was part of their agenda to let these millions of illegal in as fast as possible. And then somehow give them the right to vote in National Elections. Some time in the near future. There is no other logical reason to do this … No matter what some may say.
I would want the government to follow that so that, in the future, we don't have a leader who does not give due process to Americans. Yes, I agree … but we don't see that as the case currently or most likely never will. So we are talking Apples[illegal aliens] and Oranges[USA citizens] … |

Interesting take on this… Trump's Final Move: DOGE vs. Deep State in the Intelligence Thunderdome …For better or worse, in his first 70 days, Trump engineered this apocalyptic showdown, making it inevitable and unescapable. This really is the final battle; there will be no round 3. If Trump loses, they will make sure that nothing like this can ever happen again.
If they survive, they'll build an impenetrable fortress around the Swamp this time. The media is frozen in panic, waiting for narrative orders that, so far, have not arrived. The people who issue those orders are now fighting for survival, instead of creeping around just out of sight. The intelligence agency's tools are covert, indirect, and obscure. It was never even an option to hold this secret war in public. How much will spill out into the open remains to be seen. Of course, I could be completely wrong about all of this. Maybe Elon is just visiting CIA to give the Agency's budget a tiny trim. Maybe John Ratcliffe just wants some advice about improving the CIA's P.R. on X, or he wants to green the CIA by buying it some spook-friendly, James Bond-style electric cars. But it sure looks to me like this is the final cage match. It's the Thunderdome. Two secret armies enter— one army leaves. And things will happen fast. This high-stakes battle for control of the United States government will unfold at the speed of DOGE. link |

But I think neither side has been as bad as portrayed, considering the size of the country. Trump/MAGA have dished out plenty of grief to the left in recent years, the shoe is now on the other foot. Some of the things Trump has said recently about tariffs and economics are just not true. I have said before, if he wants to rise to some respectable level of credibility, he needs to stop talking so much. Yes, Trump backed down. Which I think is good news. Finally some sanity after a lost of $11 USD USD Trillion to Americans in a matter of weeks. Trump backed down?? Nice spin -- more like WINNING! Trump announced from the start that the tariffs were designed to be reciprocal and get other countries to negotiate better trade deals with lower reciprocal tariffs or even zero tariffs. This is true of the tariffs with Mexico and Canada to prod them to help with border security and stopping illegal migrant and drug flows, and with these tariffs. Within a few short days scores and scores of nations, including major trading partners like Japan, Korea, India, etc. are at the negotiating table to reduce their tariffs in US goods and services. So the 90-day pause is the given negotiation period, and the 10% tariffs left in place are a reminder to complete the deals. However, it looks like Trump's tariffs on China are different and are intended to isolate China and decouple them from their major global trade partners, to pressure China and recognize the defacto Cold War that exists, and to stop paying China to try and take over the world. Maybe Trump also senses the CCP is weak and is trying to push them into collapse. |

SB – yes he told people to go buy, and gave them some time, then he suspended the tariffs. He must have know the market would respond immediately. But maybe not really a plan. I don't know. He has put the usual winning spin on everything. But he has trouble articulating what he is doing and why. And since nobody really understood what his tariff plans meant, his polls numbers are back down to first term levels while we wait to see what happens. The Swiss Pharma news is sort of emblematic of the way things are being framed. Either through tariffs or the much higher costs of US labor, Americans will pay more for these drugs. But this is small potatoes. Keeping labor costs down is more important than ever in the face of these import taxes, which will simply be passed on to consumers. And the national debt will remain an issue. A single year of federal financial support for American soy bean farmers will cost more than the entire Swiss investment. The stock market took an historic hit. So yea, the media and pretty much everyone else are worried. |
