The Abram Accords was making some positive changes. But like everything else the Biden admin did anything Trump did was wrong and had to be removed and change. I think anyone who does not see how that sort of thinking worked with the US open border and the handling of Iran, and its proxies was an utter failure. Decisions made because without any logic or reason … But still, many refuse to understand that.

History if accurate will not be kind to the current POTUS, his admin and many others in the DC swamp. And their very wealthy supporters as well …

Tortorella Supporting Member of TMP04 Dec 2024 1:46 p.m. PST

History will be taking a much broader look at the utter failure of the US in dealing with Iran and its proxies going back to Reagan. Biden will be a unique topic as well. But every Prez will take a beating. The accords failed because they ignored the central issue of Palestine, Iran, and the proxies. The hard part was left out and Kushner got a billion from the Saudis for his failing business, which he still has not invested as he takes his fees.

Let's look ahead and see what happens. Gaza is already "hell to pay". What do we think the game plan will be? No point bombing the rubble, Gaza is no more. What can we do except attack Iran? But what consequences?

SBminisguy04 Dec 2024 6:15 p.m. PST

What can we do except attack Iran? But what consequences?

What will they do, launch mass missile strikes on Israel? They've been doing that. Launch attacks on US FOBs in Syria? Done that. Launch strikes against US ships? Done that. Prod Hezbollah and Hamas to attack Israel? Done that. Try to assassinate the President? Seems they've tried that too…

35thOVI Supporting Member of TMP04 Dec 2024 6:43 p.m. PST

Now why would they "really" do it?? I have my own ideas. 😉

Do they fear that Trump will do to them, what they did to him?

But in one case below, that person should be tried.

"The White House officials, however, are carefully weighing the extraordinary step of handing out blanket pardons to those who've committed no crimes, both because it could suggest impropriety, only fueling Trump's criticisms, and because those offered preemptive pardons may reject them.
The deliberations touch on pardoning those currently in office, elected and appointed, as well as former officials who've angered Trump and his loyalists.

Those who could face exposure include such members of Congress' Jan. 6 Committee as Sen.-elect Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) and former GOP Rep. Liz Cheney of Wyoming. Trump has previously said Cheney "should go to Jail along with the rest of the Unselect Committee!" Also mentioned by Biden's aides for a pardon is Anthony Fauci, the former head of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases who became a lightning rod for criticism from the right during the Covid-19 pandemic."

Anthony Fauci, the former head of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases who became a lightning rod for criticism from the right during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Let me fix that for ya:

"Anthony Fauci, the former head of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, who helped covertly fund the creation of COVID-19 through backdoor channels into the Wuhan lab to bypass Congressional restrictions on gain of function research in the US, and who not only knew the clinical trials and tests on the COVID vaccines were incomplete and showed problematic results and was prematurely approved for use leading to millions of injuries and deaths, but who also admitted there was no scientific basis for the extreme masking and lock-down isolation measures he proposed but felt "the public had to feel like they were part of the solution which resulted not only in massive economic damage to the nation, but to childhood isolation, depression, and sharply increased suicide rates."

35thOVI Supporting Member of TMP05 Dec 2024 10:20 a.m. PST

So the one who should be held accountable, was readily apparent? 🤣

Every time I see and hear him, all I picture is a Nazi doctor who runs horrible medical experiments.

Dagwood05 Dec 2024 11:14 a.m. PST

SBS, of course the trials were not as thorough as they could have been, people were dying and the need for the vaccine was urgent.
Masking and isolation may not have worked in the States, especially if people were ignoring them. They sure as hell worked in the UK, with cases, hospitalisations and deaths all reducing, after characteristic time lags.
What really saved us was a reduction in the power of the virus, not something that anyone really predicted.

Tortorella Supporting Member of TMP05 Dec 2024 12:59 p.m. PST

The US lost over a million people that we know of. No other country was so badly infected. Plus, we produced thousands of angry new media "experts" and theories of all kinds, pointed fingers everywhere, watched some of the most incredible presidential news conferences ever held, and discovered that the WH had shut down the Office of Infectious Disease, which had handled the Ebola outbreak. Plus we ran out of toilet paper.

35thOVI Supporting Member of TMP05 Dec 2024 2:14 p.m. PST

🤔

Some exerts….

"COVID-19 ORIGIN: COVID-19 most likely emerged from a laboratory in Wuhan, China. The FIVE strongest arguments in favor of the "lab leak" theory include:

The virus possesses a biological characteristic that is not found in nature.

Data shows that all COVID-19 cases stem from a single introduction into humans. This runs contrary to previous pandemics where there were multiple spillover events.

Wuhan is home to China's foremost SARS research lab, which has a history of conducting gain-of-function research at inadequate biosafety levels.

Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV) researchers were sick with a COVID-like virus in the fall of 2019, months before COVID-19 was discovered at the wet market.

By nearly all measures of science, if there was evidence of a natural origin it would have already surfaced."

PROXIMAL ORIGIN PUBLICATION: "The Proximal Origin of SARS-CoV-2" publication — which was used repeatedly by public health officials and the media to discredit the lab leak theory — was prompted by Dr. Fauci to push the preferred narrative that COVID-19 originated in nature.

GAIN-OF-FUNCTION RESEARCH: A lab-related incident involving gain-of-function research is most likely the origin of COVID-19. Current government mechanisms for overseeing this dangerous gain-of-function research are incomplete, severely convoluted, and lack global applicability.

ECOHEALTH ALLIANCE INC. (ECOHEALTH): EcoHealth — under the leadership of Dr. Peter Daszak — used U.S. taxpayer dollars to facilitate dangerous gain-of-function research in Wuhan, China. After the Select Subcommittee released evidence of EcoHealth violating the terms of its National Institutes of Health (NIH) grant, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) commenced official debarment proceedings and suspended all funding to EcoHealth.

New evidence also shows that the Department of Justice (DOJ) has opened an investigation into EcoHealth's pandemic-era activities.
NIH FAILURES: NIH's procedures for funding and overseeing potentially dangerous research are deficient, unreliable, and pose a serious threat to both public health and national security. Further, NIH fostered an environment that promoted evading federal record keeping laws — as seen through the actions of Dr. David Morens and "FOIA Lady" Marge Moore.
…..

SOCIAL DISTANCING: The "6 feet apart" social distancing recommendation — which shut down schools and small business across the country — was arbitrary and not based on science. During closed door testimony, Dr. Fauci testified that the guidance, "sort of just appeared."

MASK MANDATES: There was no conclusive evidence that masks effectively protected Americans from COVID-19. Public health officials flipped-flopped on the efficacy of masks without providing Americans scientific data — causing a massive uptick in public distrust.

LOCKDOWNS: Prolonged lockdowns caused immeasurable harm to not only the American economy, but also to the mental and physical health of Americans, with a particularly negative effect on younger citizens. Rather than prioritizing the protection of the most vulnerable populations, federal and state government policies forced millions of Americans to forgo crucial elements of a healthy and financially sound life.

NEW YORK PANDEMIC FAILURES: Former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo's March 25 Order — which forced nursing homes to accept COVID-19 positive patients — was medical malpractice. Evidence shows that Mr. Cuomo and his Administration worked to cover up the tragic aftermath of their policy decisions in an apparent effort to shield themselves from accountability.

Evidence suggests Mr. Cuomo knowingly and willfully made false statements to the Select Subcommittee on numerous occasions about material aspects of New York's COVID-19 nursing home disaster and the ensuing cover-up. The Select Subcommittee referred Mr. Cuomo to the DOJ for criminal prosecution.
TRAVEL RESTRICTIONS: President Trump's rapidly implemented travel restrictions saved lives. During Dr. Fauci's transcribed interview, he unequivocally agreed with every travel restriction issued by the Trump Administration. This testimony runs counter to the public narrative that the Trump Administration's travel restrictions were xenophobic.

COVID-19 MISINFORMATION: Public health officials often spread misinformation through conflicting messaging, kneejerk reactions, and a lack of transparency. In the most egregious examples of pervasive misinformation campaigns, off-label drug use and the lab leak theory were unjustly demonized by the federal government.

The Biden Administration even employed undemocratic and likely unconstitutional methods — including pressuring social media companies to censor certain COVID-19 content — to fight what it deemed misinformation.

COVID-19 VACCINE: Contrary to what was promised, the COVID-19 vaccine did not stop the spread or transmission of the virus.

RUSHED COVID-19 VACCINE APPROVAL: The FDA rushed approval of the COVID-19 vaccine in order to meet the Biden Administration's arbitrary mandate timeline. Two leading FDA scientists warned their colleagues about the dangers of rushing the vaccine approval process and the likelihood of adverse events. They were ignored, and days later, the Biden Administration mandated the vaccine.

VACCINE MANDATES: Vaccine mandates were not supported by science and caused more harm than good. The Biden Administration coerced healthy Americans into compliance with COVID-19 vaccine mandates that trampled individual freedoms, harmed military readiness, and disregarded medical freedom to force a novel vaccine on millions of Americans without sufficient evidence to support their policy decisions.

NATURAL IMMUNITY: Public health officials engaged in a coordinated effort to ignore natural immunity — which is acquired through previous COVID-19 infection — when developing vaccine guidance and mandates.

VACCINE INJURY REPORTING SYSTEM: Vaccine injury reporting systems created confusion, failed to properly inform the American public about vaccine injuries, and deteriorated public trust in vaccine safety during the COVID-19 pandemic.

VACCINE INJURY COMPENSATION: The government is failing to efficiently, fairly, and transparently adjudicate claims for the COVID-19 vaccine injured."

Not only did it NOT prevent you catching it, it failed to stop you spreading it.

I know personally, including myself, people fully vaxed and boosted, who caught and spread it. I know those never vaxed who both caught it and did not catch it. I know both vaxed and un-vaxed who were hospitalized and some of both who died. I know fully vaxed and boosted who seem to catch still, all the time. I stopped after the first booster. Many of those sick and or dead, who ardent maskers. Masks were as useless, as 6 foot distancing. I also know personally, people who devoloped serious complications from the vaccine.. blood clots and Mido cardio issues.

They lied to us, along with the media. If you tried to object, you were banned. Others who refused the jab, lost their jobs.

I was one of the "believers" until everything I was told, turned out to be lies.. by actual proof.

Well it seems the people and protective measures put in place by the different medical groups dropped the ball. But I and many others had no doubt it came from a Wuhan Lab. What goes on in any almost any lab in China has some sort of gov't/military involvement. The PRC/CCP are working on a lot of things that could be used to kill us off. When did we think we could trust the CCP any more than we could trust the Russians ?

Tortorella Supporting Member of TMP06 Dec 2024 4:28 a.m. PST

I still wear a proper mask sometimes in specific situations based on the local epidemiologist . A cold or the flu can be a major issue for me. But I have the right to wear one whenever I want. There is no doubt in my doctor's mind that they can lessen the odds of transmission of some illnesses. They are obviously a physical barrier, mY OR teams have always worn them!
I don't judge people not wearing them. It's up to me to decide whateve I do.

35thOVI Supporting Member of TMP06 Dec 2024 4:52 a.m. PST

Tort… I agree totally. It is your option.

But … it was not made an option in the early years of Covid. Mandatory masks and mandatory shots. That was and is the problem.

You can go back in TMP in threads on gaming conventions and read the comments from the mask and jab Nazis.

YOU VILL WEAR DER MASK AND YOU VILL SHOW YOUR PAPERS OF DER JAB!!!

Certain germs the masks work against, but the studies I've read on the Covid virus 🦠 have said it penetrates the masks. Just like the 6 foot distancing (great for election verifications though. 😉).

So by all means, wear away.

I would be interested to know whats really involved here, 35th. I don't trust Patrick or Trump not to showboat this kind of stuff. I bet neither guy knows much about it. What materials, by when, cost?

As Trump always said about infrastructure. "we'll be letting you know next week".

35thOVI Supporting Member of TMP13 Dec 2024 10:27 a.m. PST

Well….

They had a website for the auction, but many politicians raised H#ll and I just heard the website has been brought down. There is videos of trucks hauling this stuff off.

But.., these have been sitting there since Biden came in. He stopped authorized installation, Just to be petty. We the taxpayers PAID for this and he let it lay and rust. Just to spit in Trump and those who voted against him, faces. He then threw the gates open, to rub it in further.

You and others may not see it that way, but I and others do. I'm sure most who have lost family and friends to illegals do as well. All of who would be still with us without Biden's spite, IMHO.

Tortorella Supporting Member of TMP13 Dec 2024 8:32 p.m. PST

For all his faults, and they are many, Biden is not known for being petty, spiteful, etc. although who among us knows for sure? We know he disagreed with Trump on the wall and he did nothing about the border until last year, when Trump already controlled Congress and nothing could get done.

Trump repeatedly told us Mexico was paying for the wall. What happened? How did we get stuck with the bill and not them?

Hmm…apparently yet another stable genius in his own mind, kind of cynical, but not especially spiteful by today's standards. That cost him the election? I believe you…I guess it says a lot about how we have changed. Sounds worse than Access Hollywood? No derogatory nicknames for people? These things did not seem to matter in the elections.

I think the Biden border was about incompetence and bad judgement, not spite.

And the wall could have been finished by 2020 if Mexico had paid for it.

SBminisguy15 Dec 2024 11:10 a.m. PST

I think the Biden border was about incompetence and bad judgement, not spite.

Biden is in charge of nothing- but the Obama-Clinton folks who've been running America as an oligarchy have come clean about thier deliberate open border policy. The intent was purely political- import masses of uneducated people who they (1) add to the Census for Congressional apportionment, (2) keep dep3nd3nt via welfare and racial politics and (3) change the internal demography of Red States

Tortorella Supporting Member of TMP15 Dec 2024 3:32 p.m. PST

Meet the new boss, same as the old…MAGA is a billionaire driven movement. I don't buy the whole Clinton Obama theory. I don't doubt that both MAGA and the Dems have been gerrymandering the heck out of America, fighting for power, and Dems favor immigration that is less restrictive and careful than it should be, looking for political gains.

Where did this "gang" come clean? Or is this conservative interpretation? I just don't think that either side advocates for ordinary people. Wealth is the only power. Right now, we have more billionaires getting ready to do what? Let's see what happens and take it from there. You can't sell me this theory with Musk running the government.

Personal logo Legion 4 Supporting Member of TMP16 Dec 2024 9:36 a.m. PST

Biden is a puppet of his woke wealthy doners. His open border policy to appease those doner has cost the USA thousands of lives. That is undeniable … between the drugs that are brought across the border, along with the rapes, murders, etc. that is a ridiculous body count. With all that blood on our leaders' hands. And what makes it worse is this invasion could have been stopped by the US military.

As well as allowing ICE, CBP, LEOs, etc. do their jobs. Those governors, mayors, activists, etc. that don't allow the Feds do their jobs. They will be arrested for harboring criminals.

Again all this massive cluster Bleeped text is on the POTUS, VP, their admin, many Dems in Congress and their wealthy woke progressive doners.

Tortorella Supporting Member of TMP16 Dec 2024 6:40 p.m. PST

We will just have to see how this new group fares. Wealthy donors! Musk gives Trump 220 million, gets a job regulating his own business and will be practically running the country…but nothing to see here?

Again the border wall could have been finished before 2020 if Mexico had paid for it. Promises broken….

I am not sure the military was the answer for the fentanyl. Almost all of it has been brought in through US Customs by US citizens working for the cartels. But the new detection devices are up and running, with more on the way. It's a hard drug to stop, a small parcel is very potent and valuable.

Personal logo Legion 4 Supporting Member of TMP16 Dec 2024 10:08 p.m. PST

Wealthy donors! Musk gives Trump 220 million, gets a job regulating his own business and will be practically running the country…but nothing to see here?
Yes but Musk and the others are not woke progressive DEI, CRT/1619, etc. supporters. Big difference …

Again the border wall could have been finished before 2020 if Mexico had paid for it. Promises broken….
Regardless the border wall was mostly complete. Then Biden won, stopped construction, made sure the world knew of the open border policy. And now Biden is selling the remaining border wall construction material cheap. To ensure that the taxpayers will have to buy more to replace it. To complete the wall that the woke far-left, progressives, socialists, etc. don't want. As it will spoil whatever plan they have for allowing 12-15+ million illegal aliens into the country.

I am not sure the military was the answer for the fentanyl.
No the military shuts the border down tight. Freeing up ICE, CBP, DEA, etc. to do their jobs.

Almost all of it has been brought in through US Customs by US citizens working for the cartels.
Not sure if that is how the majority of the drugs gets in. Regardless, with the CBP, etc. freed up by the US Army shutting the border, many of those criminals will be caught.

Of course, the US Military knows where all the cartel and gang locations are along with their supply, logistics, etc. points. I'd love to see cruise missiles and drones taking all of that out. Including the mansions the top bosses live in.

Yes, there will be collateral damage. Mexico will claim the US attacked them and started a war. However, does anyone think the Mexican Military or cartel/gangs will attack the USA? But none of that will happen …

But a man can dream …

Tortorella Supporting Member of TMP17 Dec 2024 5:00 a.m. PST

Yes, as I recall, I asked you about attacking the cartels with the military a couple of years ago! You rightly wondered about this as an act of war, I think.
In recent years more than 90 % of fentanyl on the border is carried by Americans. Cartels don't want refugee people swimming across the river with their children or wandering the desert with their valuable merch. I am happy to see those orange river barriers about to make a comeback.

Neither of us voted for Musk. He has a blank check now after basically buying his way on board. Now the government will be dropping reporting requirements for Teslas on auto pilot that crash, for example. But let's see what happens. The bloated bureaucracy needs trimming big time.

35th, as I understand the upper echelons of the FBI have always been political. Think of Hoover. Anyone who can fix this will get my support. Will it be Patel? We will see.

Did Fox not report on Musk during the campaign running a daily lottery for anyone who voted, not necessarily for Trump we were told, to win a million? I know they do not want to disrupt the Hunter as criminal mastermind narrative for their audience, but the bribe story was a lie, it turns out, would have crashed the impeachment case.

I think the electoral college does not work. But I am not sure what could be done about it. The fake elector scheme was a red flag. And the system makes some votes meaningless, it seems. Is it no longer needed?

"Did Fox not report on Musk during the campaign running a daily lottery for anyone who voted, not necessarily for Trump we were told, to win a million?"

Indeed they did report on it.

I am a believer in the electoral college. Without it the large states and populated areas would run the country. It is a government of all states, not just those with the most. But it is rare for someone to win the electoral and not have the most votes. I believe only 4. Obviously 2016 being one which has stuck in the Democrats crawl ever since, especially one woman's. 😉

Tort, let's do this.

The South is growing by leaps and bounds. God knows every year when I visit around Nashville, old green spaces are sprouting houses, apartments and businesses.

So let's say they gain the population lead, stay Republican and decide elections for decades… because it is popular vote, no electoral college.

I'm sure the Democrats would be screaming to reinstate it. 😉

Probably, but I would not be. Most of my family lives in NC and its definitely more happening than the Northeast. As long as there is one man, one vote, that's the way it plays out.

Well fortunately, the founders did not want an Athenian Democracy. 😉

Yes, IIRC correctly we are Republic. The electoral college keeps bigger state having too big an advantage over smaller states, etc. Someone correctly me if I'm work …

However, in local and state elections it is one man/women – one vote.

We remain imperfect. The Constitution is a living document. Not all of it is clear or works well or we would need no courts. It was designed to be amended. I don't have really strong feelings about the electoral college, my questions are not partisan, I just think it's a good topic for discussion. The road to autocracy is not necessarily paved by this. The power has been passing to the Executive for a while. And now, the Supreme Court has made the President effectively immune from prosecution. The worst slippery slope to monarchy.

We have elected two minority presidents. This was not the will of the people. We aredependent on electors, a small number of voters who can technically decline to follow their commitments as I understand it. Turnout is tough, the college makes it seem like "why bother".

The election process is no longer trusted. The Supreme Court is no longer trusted. So there are issues. I don't know the answers, but I think the system can be questioned and discussed.
