Apropos of nothing at all, does anyone truly believe that Biden topped Obama's vote record, under 2020 conditions, without a particle of fraud? Biden was a political also-ran from 1988 to 2008, a perennial hungry candidate for the Presidency at every opportunity, who might have broken double digits in the primaries. His reputation was better than Harris's, but his chairmanships were the product of seniority and the general attitude toward him among the DC crowd was good-natured tolerance of an amiable machine politician, not ferocious admiration. Obama, like him or hate him, was a genuine political phenomenon: I saw the crowds in DC on Inauguration Day in 2009. There's no denying that he created a genuine excitement and a mood that won him a record vote total. You don't have to believe any of Trump's claims after the 2020 election to look at the differences in the vote totals, and the locations, and think that something was fundamentally implausible about the result. |

I just don't agree. There is plenty of research supporting other opinions and telling me you are not entirely correct. Common sense is in the eye of the beholder. SF represents….SF, not every blue city. The fact that we use these labels now and make them part of how we represent our core beliefs tells me that we will continue to tear ourselves apart. My opinion…I came to understand a while ago that there are genuine feelings of grievance on the right underpinning the new conservatism and realized that I also felt a lot of that anguish. But I do not like how this was manipulated into a strident and absolute political movement. I am not sure that fighting this is just as much of a conservative act as supporting it is. I do not trust or believe the new regime…even less than the last one. And I don't want to fight my relatives over who puts on the better circus. We could level Iran in an hour, but we cannot stop calling each other names. This is the weakness our foreign opponents see and support. But we don't need their help. So maybe a new civil war game is an insult to what we have been, or maybe it helps teach us what we have become. Everyday Americans on both sides deserve more respect. The real gangs are apolitical wealthy elites who buy up the government and everything else. |

MSNBC and the Morning Show with Scarborough and Mika, are too. Yes it is a guilty pleasure of mine. "The View" all came out decked out in black one day. SNL surprised me and actually had a funny one last night. I saw a big anti Trump protest yesterday on TV. New York? I truly believe a lot of them are paid protesters. |

Everyday Americans on both sides deserve more respect. The real gangs are apolitical wealthy elites who buy up the government and everything else. Yes -- and that's EXACTLY what this election was about! For his flaws and foibles, Trump is wealthy but not embedded in the Establishment. That's why they have tried so hard to destroy him. He ran and won on a reform campaign, he brought a range of non-traditional allies together -- like RFK, Tulsi Gabbard, Elon Musk and others. He's already announced reforms to shore up the 1st Amendment and promote the Constitution, to reduce the size and power of the Federal government and hand more decision making authority back to States and Localities (like a National School Choice program), de-politicize DOD and the Federal Bureaucracy, enact border security and so on. Most of the hard core divisive rhetoric comes from the Left and Establishment whose power is at risk. So too does most of the talk of Civil War, with Democrat governors declaring they will "fight to protect the most vulnerable" aka Illegal Immigrants when the Feds start trying to deport criminal illegal aliens. And the recent movie "Civil War" is a Leftist fantasy in which heroic Journalists record the execution of a fantasy version of Trump. Truly nasty stuff. So do I want Civil War? Heck noes on so many levels -- so if you're "Blue" please encourage your Blue Leaders to drop the War Talk! |

Tort, actually to me, he did. I know I've said that to you before. I could see the same mannerisms, issues with his body, miscues and forgetfulness i had seen and was seeing with my father, who also had it. Joe was just behind my dad by 4 years or less. I firmly believe that is why they hid him so much and kept him away from the public, unless he had scripted speeches, questions from specific journalists, controlled environments and a teleprompter. Also why he rarely took impromptu questions. They knew. |

The military should wait and see. The "military" (which really means politically partisan senior officers who are proven to be sh1te at warfighting) should and carry out lawful orders they don't like because they aren't in charge. The President is their ultimate CinC. Should they push back on what is viewed as Unconstitutional orders through the normal processes ALREADY in place? Of course. But otherwise they should defer to their duly elected CinC's orders. |

The Pentagon already was having meetings about what they will do if the new POTUS orders them to help with mass deportations of illegal aliens. I don't know if that is a good thing or not ? Whether in support of the mass deportation or not. But after you take the oath, you have to follow the legal orders of the POTUS, etc. Of course, like many Americans I support mass deportations starting with the known criminals, military age males, etc. And if on the terrorist watch list, they should be sent to Gitmo. But some of the top Pentagon officials will be replaced anyway, e.g. Austin … And maybe the Chief of the JCS, forgot his name … |

The use of the military to restore or keep order is not as anomalous as it is made out to be. Army units were used to restore or keep order on multiple occasions in the 1960s; the governor of Maryland brought the Guard into Baltimore to help during the Freddie Grey riots just a few years back. |

"Yes, George Washington did use federal troops as president, most notably during the Whiskey Rebellion when he personally led a militia force to quell the uprising in Western Pennsylvania, effectively demonstrating the authority of the new federal government. By 1794 the Whiskey Rebellion threatened the stability of the new United States and challenged the authority of the democratically-elected federal government. President Washington organized a militia force of 12,950 men and personally led them towards Western Pennsylvania, warning locals "not to abet, aid, or comfort the Insurgents aforesaid, as they will answer the contrary at their peril." The calling of the militia had the desired effect of essentially ending the Whiskey Rebellion. By the time the militia reached Pittsburgh, the rebels had dispersed and could not be found. The militia apprehended approximately 150 men and tried them for treason. Limited evidence and the inability to obtain witnesses hampered the trials. Two men, John Mitchell and Philip Weigel, were found guilty of treason, though both were pardoned by President Washington. George Washington's firm actions during this crisis served to build the strength and authority of the new federal government. " |

And during the Eisenhower admin, he sent elements of the 101 in GA or AL[can't remember?]. To escort and protect black children going to an all-white school … That was the correct thing to do … With millions of illegal aliens including many criminals and terrorists, etc. roaming the US at will. This is a crisis for the American people. Again, most don't want this illegal alien invasion. It's not a few but millions. And the current admin allowed it … They invited these people. Bowing to the very woke progressive, very wealthy, very small, very vocal minority who supports the open border policies of the current US leadership. So, I'd think that the US Military being involved along with ICE, CBP, etc. To load up the illegal aliens on C-17s with many US Military well-armed troops on board. But Trump knows better than anyone about everything, will appoint only yes men as 'advisors', including replacing as many heads of departments (ie people who have spent a lifetime in their specialisation) with political appointees (who haven't). One thing that I bet a lot of legislators are probably concerned about is insider trading. A combination of political power, horse trading, favoritism and executive deference has allowed an awful lot of members of Congress of both parties to more or less openly trade stock while enjoying the benefits of inside knowledge gained from their positions on oversight committees. It's hiding in plain site, and it has gone unprosecuted for a wide range of reasons. It will be interesting to see if that changes. |

The new POTUS chose Pete Hegseth from FOX news. As his Sec Def. He was in the same regiment I was with in the 101. But of course, many years later. As usual, some of the media and those in Congress, etc. are bashing him. But I'd like to ask them if they were ever in the military, served as an Infantry Officer, at Gitmo, Iraq and A'stan. Has a CIB and 2 Bronze Stars. Served over 20 years in the Army. He is currently an NG MAJ, IIRC. Of course, don't think any of them have any of those qualifications. And he is a conservative, thinks woke, DEI, CRT, pronouns, etc. in the military is total 🐮💩. But since Trump chose him, he must be "bad" … Amazingly Trump it appears chose people he knew were capable and had some sort of relationship with. Hmmm … who would have thought !!!? But the difference is the people Trump chose was based generally by capabilities, experience, etc. not sex, sexual preference, race, etc. Hmmm … how novel !!!! They are doing the same to Tulsi Gabbard as she was selected for DNI. She is a LTC in the NG and served in Iraq, IIRC. That must give her some credibility. But since Trump chose her, she must be bad … just as they are doing with Hegseth … Plus, both of them have the unforgivable sin of being conservative, don't agree with woke, DEI, CRT, etc. dogma, plus they are straight … oh and white. But Gabbard I think she is part Samoan, so she is an "indigenous people", IIRC. However, since she had joined another party, the party of Trump, she must be equivalent to Lucresia Borza, Catherine Demedici and Cruella DeVill. 😱 < "Rant Mode Terminated" > < Fade to Black > ⬛ |

I don't call a plumber if I need my appendix out. I prefer more extensive credentials. But we don't how Americas Got Talent will work out. For all our sakes, I hope these people can cut it. " Hegseth has been a fierce advocate of "wokeness" in the military, and has suggested banning women from combat roles and firing Joint Chiefs Chair Gen. CQ Brown. Should he be confirmed in the Senate, Hegseth would replace Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin, who is set to depart along with President Biden in January. Here's what to know about his nomination: Hegseth was an infantry officer in the Army National Guard from 2002 to 2021. After graduating from Princeton University in 2003, he went on to serve tours in Guantanamo Bay from 2004-'05, Iraq from 2005-'06, and Afghanistan from 2011-'12, according to the Army National Guard. His military awards include two Bronze Stars, two Army Commendation Medals, the National Defense Service Medal with Bronze Service Star, and the expert infantryman and combat infantryman badges.
Hegseth also served as the executive director of the non-profit Vets for Freedom and CEO of Concerned Veterans for America, a Koch-backed conservative advocacy group that advocated for the privatization of veterans' care. Hegseth has never served in government. He unsuccessfully ran for a Senate seat representing Minnesota in 2012 and was considered for the Secretary of Veteran Affairs position in Trump's first administration." Top liberals are already whining and gnashing their teeth. (That must mean he's good). He is a staunch defender of the military and those serving. He was not dependent on the government for his livelihood(like so so so many in there now). I'm pretty sure he makes more money between Fox, his books and other ventures. He won't be dependent on the government for future jobs. He is a man's man, unlike so many in office positions recently. So NOT a deep state swamp rat. 🐀 Want to know his views on the military, read his books. Sounds like a lot of positives. |

With all due respect for his service, he did not exactly follow up with global command, choosing to sit on the couch with the short skirts instead. The potential problem is that the picks seem like personal loyalty to the Prez, And no other POTUS did the same ? AFAIK no other POTUS took race, sex and sexual preference into consideration, as we have seen currently. And has said often that this was the most diverse Admin ever. Too bad it can be said it was the most effective admin ever. It is only the illegal requests for military help that will be questioned. No, if the JCS, Sec Def, etc. thinks the POTUS is making a poor decision, they can and should recommend otherwise. And why, etc. E.g. The Biden admin and his Sec State, etc. ignored the recommendations of the Military and Intel advisors and went with the plan he and the Sec State, etc. came up with. We see what debacle that was. There have been a number of investigations on this tragedy. And only the POTUS and his admin call it a success. And again, this massive failure demonstrated to Putin and Iran that the US top elected and appointed leadership did not have the right stuff. So, Putin felt free to invade Ukraine as he saw how risk adverse and fear of escalation the current US leaders were. Iran saw the same and resulted in the current war with the IDF vs. Hamas and Hezbollah … No need to mention how the Chicoms are reacting. They saw the same weakness with US leadership as the rest of the USA's enemies have. But the Chicoms are on a war footing and threatening to take Taiwan … Elections have consequences, this past four years is a good example of that … We just had four years of constant whining and gnashing teeth on the right, so cut those lefties a break! No slack, they brought it on themselves. For all our sakes, I hope these people can cut it. Rooting out diversity training while the Russians steal Ukraine does not work for me. Having been both and Infantry Platoon Ldr and Mech Co. Cdr, I can assure anyone that anything that takes away from valuable training time. Time that is used to train for war. Is a waste of time among other things. And this woke progressive DEI, CRT, etc. agenda/dogma has not made the US Military stronger but caused dissention not cohesion. Cohesion that is very important to a Military unit. |

And still the best Army, best pilots. Unless somebody wants to prove me wrong, I still don't see the actual evidence that woke hurt the military as much as the elites in Congress running procurement. You think woke was a waste? Wait till they bring back the LCS program. The elections are a culture war between elites from both parties and everyday people who did not go to Ivy League universities, or inherit vast wealth. 🤔 Subject: Thread by @KatieDaviscourt on Thread Reader App – Thread Reader App link Subject: Suspect in Bellevue LGBTQ+ Pride mural arrested | FOX 13 Seattle – YouTube YouTube link So the second gets a felony charge. Should not the first as well? What about all those who tore down and defaced monuments and buildings? What about those who burnt sections of the cities down? They didn't, shouldn't they? They say the later was NOT because it was a LBGTQ mural, but somehow I don't believe them. Just seems like two tiers of justice, IMHO. |

I thing some change is already underway, with Trump and Musk on the phone around the world. But not official. Yes as I have said the new admin will hit the ground running.
