I have a resin gunboat from a very reliable dealer. My problem is there are parts of the ship that will not take a primer coat. I have washed the hull in hot soapy water. I have sprayed and prayed with 70% Isopropyl and I still get resistance. What would you recommend? Bear down until the little heathen surrenders? Different solvents? I can't give up this ship. H |

A lot of resins are "plastic" based, so a primers for plastic auto body panels works extremely well. |

I find Duplicolor sandable auto primer works a treat. Rock hard primer. |

Purple Power works the best for me -- a cleaner and degreaser. Then I prime. |
