Not a far stretch to go from Necrons to robots. But I have a few tricks to keep them from looking too uniform for the steampunk genre…

I'd save the last photo, maybe crop it a bit and rotate it a few degrees and use it as a massacre photo or a shot of an archaeological dig.

The robocentaurs are an interesting concept, but what would be the advantage? Could they be used as transport, or carry a larger weapon?

I usually consider centaurs to be faster than bipedal foot infantry, so I would at least give them additional maneuver. If you were bringing logistics, they would carry at least twice the load. Variable weapon outfitting is a good idea, so I might make them some custom crew mounted weapons and other optional gear.

The way these ones are built, they also poop bullets (laser bullets?). That's cool.

I would offset that with a higher operational (fuel) and maintenance cost.
