When just a tad I used to sit with my Auntie and watch Sci Fi movies -m this being about 1964, and I am trying to identify two of them…

In one, astronauts are on another planet and some creature that was like a cross between a goat and an ant, that went like a-a-a-a-a- a-a-a-a-a- ended up getting shot even though it was not really menacing the astronauts…

In another, Earth was in the throes of destruction and somehow a giant creature shaped like a black star, possibly with an eye in the middle was involved.

That's all I remember. The first was NOT Angry Red Planet. Watched that just the other day.

Any help appreciated.

First Men in the Moon 1964?

Possibly Warning from Space. Starfish creatures change shape into humans and visit Japan.

I don't recognize goat/ant movie with that small amount of information.

The starfish sounds vaguely like Starro. But I don't think he made it into movies?

Yes, black starfish is "Warning from Space"

The first movie is probably not "The Wizard of Mars" or "Wild Women of Wongo"… ;-)

Wikipedia tris to list every science fiction movie of the 1950s and 1960s. Perhaps if you look over the list it may spur your memory. Good hunting.

About an hour and six minutes in is a strange alien, perhaps this is your movie.
