It would take a brave gunner to man that, as a cannon armed Hurricane swooped down on the convoy. He has no protection and is a "sitting duck". 50 calibres on a Tomahawk and he is mincemeat.

Yeah, not really a fare fight, .50 pack a fare punch, i was a M113 crew commander, I fired them a bit in my army days, the barrel would get red hot after a belt of ammo, good fun.

I was in the Forward observer teams 103 MDM BTY 8/12 MDM Regt, Royal Australian artillery, we supported 1 Brigade, so were carrier mounted, served in the 90s.

I did not know that, I was aware that there was the command vehicle used by the RAA, but not the APC!
During the 90's I had moved on to the the Regional Force Surveillance Units as cadre staff. Most unlikely we crossed paths….

Anyway, good luck with the 1:1 Germans!
