I just finished a quick reintroduction solo game of TSATF.

6 units totally 120 Regulars attacking the main redoubt holding 2 units of 40 colonials.

I gave the colonials 9 shots then they have to leave. On the 8th and 9th shots only 50% can shoot.

Statistics:
62 of the 120 regulars fell KIA or WIA accounting for just over 50% casualties. On the colonial side 23 of the 40 were casualties accounting for just over 50%. Most all of the colonial casualties were in the final turns as the regulars swarmed over the redoubt walls. I did use a house rule for point blank fire by multiplying by 2 for musket fire for both sides. The colonials bugged out before the regulars could close to melee.

Thoughts:
I had a good time getting reacquainted with the rules. I used John the OFM's AWI conversion, Thank You. The battle was a set pace affair using a mobile attacker going against a static defender. With the colonials entrenched they took very few casualties from longer range musket fire but once the regulars moved up to and over the redoubt walls it was all over for the colonials.

I used my 40mm Front Rank and Trident/Triguard miniatures on a 4'x6' table.

Sounds like a good time.

40mm figures. Wow. That would be cool to see.

Where are the OFMs modifications?

I don't have any pics from that game but I do have another battle setup using the 40's. I will take pics of that one and post once I will have to figure out how to do that.

OFM's modifications… I found them digging through here. I want to say they were from 2015ish timeframe.

How did you track the number of firings? For each individual figure? For the unit as a whole? What if only part of a unit engages in fire on a given turn?

For the whole unit. And there were no partial shots.

Would love to see how you did the hill and the redoubt.
