Just the other day I wanted to add a harquebusier cavalry column, rather than a line, to my Epic P&S battlefield setup. I found that, as I thought it might, the 20mm X 60mm bases are set up with the the holes in the bases for the pegs in the figures are at the corners of squares. That means you can not only place the figures on the bases in line but also in column. I set up 3 bases of each color this way so I have a unit in column for each. It is the same as the cavalry basing as in Napoleon's Battles rules. I plan on making another unit like it for each color. I would have to buy too many cavalry sprues for each side to make it worthwhile doing it for Cuirassiers, though I may do it for mounted dragoons.
