The British continue to push on into the village of Fontenay in their attempt to drive out elements of 12th SS as part of our Operation Martlet campaign for Chain of Command. This is our fourth game in the campaign and you can read the full AAR of that game with many more pictures here Scenario 3: Attack on the Haupfkampflinie

Excellent AAR, thanks a lot. Nice to see you're now both back.
Regarding the Punch wild card, it can be played only till turn 5 or 6, IIRC, but it certainly is worth it as it's a free way of delaying for a turn while inbflicting losses. Also, doesn't teh German player switch to his second platoon once Fontenay's lost?

Thanks, glad you enjoyed it (and yes, it's good to be back playing this one).

Dave will definitely do it but I suspect he thinks it might be more effective on Map 4. Terrain in Fontenay could better suit the defender.

Also, doesn't teh German player switch to his second platoon once Fontenay's lost?

It says the first platoon must continue to fight until map 3 and may only be replaced after that map is lost, but it's an option the Germans can choose if they want to or feel it's necessary.

It looks lovely! And that CoC campaign is a classic.
