I recently received a nice "capsule toy" snap-fit model of this Jurassic predator. It is a 7 piece kit that is factory-painted in a fantastic scheme. The Dinosaur Toy Blog has very detailed photos that show how excellent the colors are on this model. This level of painting is far superior to anything I could do on a figure so small. link I disagree slightly with the scales listed in the blog post. Recovered fossils show that the living animal would vary in size from 17'-29' long. At a little over 3" it would work well with 1/72 scale, or ifusing 15/18 mm it could represent a larger individual.

On the downside, this kit has proven a bit difficult for an oldster such as myself. The tiny forelimbs are separate pieces that need to be fitted just the right way around. This leads to a greater degree of animation, but couldn't these have been cast on? I still recommend it to those with patience.

In this shop you can buy PNSO painted dinosaurs for 3.99 GBP for 1/72 scale: link

Thanks for the link! The PNSO models look right up my alley.
