All,
Can anyone who plays the game answer a couple of questions?

1. How tall are the minis?
2. Is it possible to buy them separate from the game? I'm interested in the Three Musketeers faction minis.

Looks like it from this link:

Except that I don't see the Three Musketeers.

Looks like they are in the core set.

Right. I'm not interested in the game, just the Musketeer figures.

How do they size up next to other figures.

Are there really any French Musketeers in this game? Is it not these you are looking for?

Nick, reach out to Adrian at wargamerus.com to see if he might be able to get those for you as seperate figures. In the past he has occasionally had singletons.

Travellara, the Musketeers are specific character figures (Porthos, Athos, Aramis, D'Artagnan) included in the base set.

There are also non-character Royal Musketeers and Cardinal's Guard, as well as a host of other figures that are useful outside of the game. IMHO I think the company could do quite well selling the figures outside of the sets (and minus the game cards) for those not interested in the game.

Irish, my stuff is packed up for a move so I can't give you a side-by-side. I also have only added figures two non-AD-1666 figures for game use (one Hot & Dangerous and one Dungeons & Lasers) which fit in perfectly. Personal tolerances vary of course, but one thing I would note is that the AD1666 sculpts tend to be a bit finer in detail.

I'd like to know how they will match my Bloody Miniatures ECW figures.

The figs are closer to 25mm than 28mm, and they are not "chunky" at all. I would say they are very much more naturally proportioned that most figures. I have Bloody Miniatures and would say they are noticeably slimmer all around.

They are great sculpts. I wish they had made them at least 32mm, as they are great detail and personality to them.

Thanks Duke, so I guess I won't be buying them.
