I need some spies for my Wars of the Three Kingdoms/British Civil Wars games. How I picture the figures are mounted, wearing a cloak with their hood up trying to look inconspicuous. I might have found one. Irregular Miniatures 15mm peasants link second picture down, figure on the right of the picture. But I don't know how large they are (15mm figures being anything from 13.5mm to 18mm to the eye), in comparison to my mostly Peter Pig figures. If the Irregular figure is at the 18mm end of '15mm' does anyone know of a similar posed figurine which might do the job? Hence cross posting to medieval and fantasy boards (I've got a Fellowship of the Ring idea of the pose). A female version would be good, as many spies during the 3 English Civil Wars were women, not forgetting Jane Lane's role in aiding King Charles II's escape from Worcester. Thanks in advance |

The Risk LOTR version has a Dark Rider figure in a very similar pose to the Irregular one. A lot less detail as its just a game piece, but from memory I think it's around 15mm in size (I don't have mine to hand to check). The spare pieces can be picked up on EBay very cheaply from time to time, and the dark riders are in the black and red sets. |

Thanks for the ideas, much appreciated. The Risk Nazgul figure looks ideal. Don't suppose anyone can measure the height of the figure for me? |

Haven't seen that particular figure IRL, but generally speaking Peter Pig are on the small end of 15mm while Irregular are a bit bigger (but not 18mm giants). |

I have the figure in my 17th century Polish army (part of my unit of fake hussars). The figure, sitting on the horse is 23.5mm tall overall. The rider is 16.5mm from the soles of his feet to the top of his head, although he has a slightly stooped riding position. He also has a peak on his hood which makes him slightly taller. measuring to his approximate eye position reduces the heights above by approximately 2.5mm. He is a smallish figure (probably because he is also riding a pony). |

The Risk figure is 25mm from the bottom of the base to the highest part of the hood. Alongside my PSC Goth infantry (unbased) the top of their heads reach his waist, and my (based) Essex Miniatures ancients are a fraction taller, nearer his chest height. |
