Do you have constrained living spaces for the display/preservation of animals in your wargaming terrain? I'm not talking about cattle fences or doghouses (which serve different functions), instead, anything from a small hamster cage up to a zoo habitat. I'm going to say cages for experimentation animals count as well. I have a couple of fish tanks for my interior terrain and a menagerie for my Victorian carnival. My small detention facility has also been used by the noble Apes to help them learn to protect those damn dirty humans from themselves. I feel like I need a few birdcages … maybe an aviary. |

I try to keep a few dungeons or jails around for hostage rescue. Does that count? |

Nope, no pets of any persuasion. Jim |

No. My animals will run freely on the table, the players may want cages for themselves. |

Only once, in a 28mm ECW game, I had a Scottish unit. Prince Rupert and his dog were in the game. He wasn't far enough away from me so I sent a Highland charge his way and I killed Rupert. I stole the dog for my own. I renamed him Laddie. In my games no pets. Just the occasional farm animal.

Do barns count? I've detailed mine up with horse stalls, hay crib and hay loft. I have long considered cutting Habitrail parts and tubes in half to make a Skaven spaceship. : 3 |

These amzn.to/4aqDHfr might work better … easier to cut, but you have to do your own corners. You will need dowels (or something) amzn.to/4avqHVO on the bottom of straight pieces to keep them from rolling. I also use granny grating amzn.to/47cLZET for floors in the tubes. I find flat bases against a rounded floor unpleasant. I think it makes a decent visual. All kinds of other things can make good tube sections … plastic coffee cans, cardboard tubes for carpet, etc. |

The clear yellow tubes have such an ambience though! Yes, flat flooring inserts would be essential. |

I did once have giant crocodilians sleeping in a lake, looking like floating logs … |

I'd forgotten. Years ago, Dana "Fuzzball" Homo was French CinC as we fought the battles of the 100 Days. Can't remember what went wrong for them, put I remember a box made out of popsicle sticks with a fabric store pompom inside and the label reading "I shall pack him off to Paris in a big wooden crate." |

At some point, I'll probably make the nearly obligatory koi pond for Test of Honour. |

The clear yellow tubes have such an ambience though Completely concur with the look. That will be spectacular, especially if you can get two or three levels of elevation out of it. |
